What should one do to become a cultivated person (refined, well educated, well informed)? What are some specific steps one can take?

Take classes, go to informative meetups, go to museums in your area, go to the theater, maybe start doing some theater, start writing/painting/sculpting so you begin to have a creators perspective. Look for people who are creative to hang out with, and discover your own "voice" when it comes to culture. I think you'll quite enjoy the journey.

How do I cultivate a different personality?

I have been in sales all my life. I am 61 now. I was an introvert when I started too. Now I am as outgoing a person as you would ever meet. The more sales you make and the more face to face interactions you have with people you will by nature become outgoing. You can't just have a second personality as you say it, it becomes ingrained in who you are. Becoming an extrovert or outgoing person takes years of hard work. You also get better at sizing people up and knowing how to match your product to what your customer needs. I have people all the time just come up to me and start chatting with me. In other words I look approachable. I call it having an open look. I can have a conversation with anyone now, that comes with time though. I started selling at 19 in retail and sucked at it, now obviously I am a lot better. Stick with it and I promise you will make the cut over time. Never ever let anyone intimidate you though, remember you are the expert, that needs to be conveyed when you sell. If you can do that you sell anything.

How does one cultivate a more meticulous personality?

Pay attention to the details. As they say, cross your T’s and dot your I’s. In other words, don’t stop because it works — stop when it works and is beautiful.Work on your self-discipline.Motivation is fleeting but self-discipline isn’t. Work on your ability to focus on things and forgo the instant gratification.Listen to other people.Hold off on jumping to conclusions and judging so quickly before hearing someone else’s point of view. Also, generally listen to people when they talk. Give them your full attention. They’ll notice, because most people don’t.Work on hobbies and passions in your free time.Find the stuff that makes you “tick” and get to rockin’. Working on things that you truly enjoy builds you a more complex, interesting personality — you’ll naturally have things to talk about beyond surface level bullshit.Meditate.Or at least spend a little time in the morning being quiet, without your phone, and without technology. Self-reflection is a game-changer, son.

How can one cultivate themselves?

My friends and I used this system we came across:The `100 Day Game`: The Scheme to Author Your LifeThe `100 Day Game`, Phase 2 (`Perpeteia`): Turning The Tide, Breaking The DawnThe `100 Day Game` Survival GuideIt’s hard work, but it works. The author revealed the methods and gave the system with no charge. What is seen from that is diligence and sincerity as it is also that s/he has tested it and is still testing it over many years. It seemed that the author has a group of people working on it.
