How to change image size for renpy game?

renpy expects that you've already normalized/standardized the size of all your individual images prior to use. that's why there is only the setting in screens.rpy (or options.rpy) that tells the interpreter how big the viewport is. All your images should be scaled to your satisfaction relative to that viewport size setting using an image manipulation program prior to use in renpy.

There are several easy ways to do image manipulation. For individual images use GIMP or Photoshop. But if, for example, your digital camera or scanner produces 2400x2400 images, and you need to reduce all your background shots to 640x480 with a black buffer at the bottom, it is better to use a batch processing package, like Image Alkchemy, to do the work. Just futz with the command line parameters by hand with the first image until it produces a result that you like, then build the shell script that executes that command as a batch process against all the target image files.

GIMP and Image Alkchemy is recommended because they come pre-installed with most Linux distributions, making them readily accessible to everyone (if you're a windoze person, just install a virtual machine manager, create a virtual host and install Linux from your favorite distribution onto the virtual host. The other way is to download the GIMP for windoze, but not sure if the Image Alkchemy tools are available in a pre-compiled form ready-to-use on a windoze box.)

My computer monitor screen is like super blown up and it's very hard to use how do I fix this?

It sounds like your computer is in what is called "safe mode." When you install a new software application or add drivers for some new hardware, sometimes the computer will start itself in safe mode. Safe mode is a special way for Windows to load when there is a system-critical problem that interferes with the normal operation of Windows. The purpose of safe mode is to allow you to troubleshoot Windows and try to determine what is causing it to not function correctly. Once you have corrected the problem, then you can reboot and Windows will load normally. You probably will not have to do anything too difficult to fix this. Just restart your computer and press f8 before windows comes up. Then, when you get to the black screen with a few options there, choose "normal mode" and it should be fixed.

How do you change the size of an image (or video) overlay in Sony Vegas Pro 9?

when you put your curser over the video on the timeline, some buttons should appear on the video clip, one of them being a crop button. click that and you should be able to crop, resize, or move it around how ever you like. If you make the overlaid video smaller, the other video should appear underneath it.

An image will occupy different sizes on the same screen, if viewed using different screen resolution settings?

It's true if the image display program uses physical pixels as its scaling criterion.

It's false if the image display program uses real-world measurements as its scaling criterion.

Both systems are in use.

What's "image size over limit" in camera Sony DSC-T77 when i try to zoom in?

rule # 1.
always back up.
rule # 2, don't forget rule #1......

always always backup your picture onto your PC and even make a backup of the backup by burn onto a CD or DVD. DVDs are cheap, they cost 30 censt/piece and holds approx 2000 pictures from a 5 mega pixel camera. unless u think your pictures are not worth 30 cents. otherwise. back it up!

make sure get a good brand if you choice to burn onto dvd (such as TDK brand from costco).

according to http://issuu.com/chucklebig/docs/handboo...

you are trying to playback a picture that is oversized and can not be displayed by camera, there is a chance when you somehow open that picture on your computer, you made some modification and "resave it" and computer change it's image format from let's say jpg to bmp (which is a format without any compression) that can increase file size of image 10 fold (but without improving picture quality !!!!)

I know what u r going to say, But I didnt make any changes!
WELL, if you rotate the picture from Landscape to Portrait view, YOU ALREADY DID without knowing it and you may already lose some picture quality alone the way when you do this!!!

so best way is , before you make ANY modification or resizing or even rotating a picture on the computer, make a backup copy of "original on CD/DVD" then you do whatever the modification you need to resize, modify, rotate etc.)
