I remember my first fantasy draft- I got very lucky with a few dark horse players hitting. Your first year is always going to be learning, but you will get better with experience. The key to fantasy is finding value at your pick in the round. You want to not only have decent starters, but also a little depth on your bench (either backups, injury insurance, or upside players that could blow up). A more realistic lineup would look like this:QB: Tyrod TaylorWR: Brandon Marshall, Randall Cobb, DeSean JacksonRB: Lamar Miller, Frank Gore, Arian FosterTE: Zach ErtzThe most important thing is to know your scoring: in point per reception (PPR) receivers and receiving RBs are highly valued. In standard, RBs go higher.Your lineup will be fine, if you balance your team and don't "reach” for players. Use a cheatsheet to help you value players at your draft spot. After your pick, look ahead to see who may fall to your next pick (Resisting the temptation to just follow along and try to make a decision when you’re on the clock.) Find 8 to 10 friends and start your own league. If you do not have friends that wish to play, Espn(The Worldwide Leader In Sports), NFL(Official Site of the National Football League) and Yahoo have public leagues where you can play with a bunch of people that you do not know.
Where can I find people to join my ESPN Fantasy Football league?
I joined a group last year called Fantasy Football Help/Talk group on Facebook. People consistently ask others to join their fantasy football league, whether it be standard, PPR, money, 3 QB, whatever it may be. The spots are usually filled within 2 or 3 hours, sometimes it can be minutes for 5 league spots to fill up, which would be very convenient for someone trying to be commissioner in a league for the first time but not having enough friends to play. It won't let me post the link to the group without it saying "Log in to Facebook" but just search Fantasy Football Help/Talk Group and you will find it and fill out your draft easily.
How to create a PPR Fantasy football league?
You don't need to be an expert. Just follow the instructions. In the scoring settings, make sure "receptions" is a scoring category. Then put "1" and it's one point per reception. If you don't want PPR, then don't choose receptions as a scoring category.
How do I change owners in an ESPN Fantasy Football League?
Yes, if you delete an owner it will delete their whole team, not the league though... you would have to invite your friend and he would have to create a team etc. Sorry... If indeed he left you can add your buddy as a 2nd owner and he can in theory just run the team as if he was the primary owner..

We have been talking it up for the past few days now and we have been anticipating this draft for a while now and now is the time we have been waiting for. BUT IS DOESN T WORK! None of us can get in the draft as it is open and starts in 30 minutes. You open the draft lobby and it says, "We re sorry An error was encountered while downloading draft assets. Ensure that you have good network connectivity and try again. " It s obviously not the connection and we don t know what to do. PLEASE HELP.
