How To Disable Calls/texts On Iphone

My mom disabled my iPhone. I can't call, text, etc. How do I re-enable it?

I have AT&T. She's being ridiculous as I'm about to go to a conference out of state and need my phone for safety reasons. I'm still in high school so she pays for it and everything. How do I get AT&T to re-enable it? Do I call? Do I have to pretend I'm my mom? I can't just talk to her about it -- you don't know my mother. Please help.

Can a disabled Iphone receive calls or texts?

If they have disabled/suspended the phone then the only things it should be able to do are call 9-1-1 and AT&T 6-1-1 so no, it will not be able to receive calls or texts.
In theory, they should be able to help you find the owner. If you can get the number off the SIM card AT&T should be able to look up what number was assigned to it and hopefully that person has an alternative number on their account and AT&T will be able to contact them for you. Good luck!

Can you block calls not text on iPhone?

I don’t think there is any way of blocking only calls but not text it’s all or nothing in iOS. A workaround might be selecting a unique ringtone for that person and then setting it to silent. You can do this by finding their contact in contact manager, tap on edit, scroll down to ringtone and select silent as your choice. Now the phone will not ring when that that person calls but will ring for everybody else. The call will still show up in your recent call list and if that person leaves a voicemail you will still be able to see it if you have visual voicemail. The same thing can be done for texts. Hope this helps

Why do I receive text messages and missed calls on my old Iphone. How do I stop this?

When someone calls me on my new phone, it shows up as "missed call from ____". It doesn't ring on my on my old phone, but after I answer the call on my new phone, it says missed call on the old phone, if that makes sense. I receive text messages from people on my old iphone as well. I use it as my iPod because it could drain the life out of my new phone, so I don't necessarily want to reset the entire phone. I have cellular data off and I'm with Verizon.

Can you block someone's messages but not their calls to an iPhone?

If you wish to only block text during that time period, I would use Do Not Disturb. You can set it for that time period and it will block everything. If the contact is in your Favorites, you can set Do Not Disturb to allow calls through from that specific contact during that time period, as well as other contacts. There have been some changes to how Do Not Disturb operates now, and also allows for individual emergency pass through for individual contacts. See this Use Do Not Disturb on your iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch - Apple Support for basic Do Not Disturb information, and this for emergency individuals in the iPhone User Guide. http://help.apple.com/iphone/10/...

Iphone do not disturb text messages?

Do Not Disturb suppresses all notifications (calls, texts, emails, etc.) while your iPhone's screen is locked; your iPhone will not light up, vibrate, ring, or alert you while DND is on and the screen is locked. Any suppressed notifications will be logged and waiting for you when you unlock your screen (start using it again).

How to disable restrictions on a jailbroken iPhone?

My stupid friend enable all sorts of restrictions on my iPhone so basically all i can do is text and call. And he forgot the password. Is there any way to disable these with some sort of jailbreak tweak or clever hack? Thanks.

If my parents turn off my IPhone, will I still be able to use it?

My parents are threatening to turn off my phone completely, like calling the phone company and having it shut off. But sometimes when our bills would be late AT&T would "turn off" our phones. We wouldn't be able to call anyone or text people without iPhones, but everything else worked like my music and games. So I'm wondering if the same will happen if my parents go through with this threat.

Is there a way I can disable or block all incoming calls without using airplane/flight mode?

TrueCaller works great, i use it everyday!  www.truecaller.com
