How To Get A Dent Out Of A Macbook Pro

I have a dent on my MacBook Pro?

I dropped my laptop on the floor and it fell on its side. Now, on the bottom left hand corner of my laptop there is a big bump. What should I do to get rid of it? Should I just bring it back to the apple store? Thanks.

I have a dent in my MacBook Pro, how do I fix it?

I’d refrain from trying to fix it yourself.MacBooks are very thin and therefore if they’re exposed to heavy forces, they’re subject to flex which could in turn damage internal components, in a worst case scenario you could actually burst the battery, which is very dangerous as lithium ion batteries in MacBooks are quite large and are prone to exploding if not taken care of properly. This will be extremely expensive to fix, that is if it can be fixed at all.Now this is unlikely but overall I wouldn’t try to fix it, you also run the risk of cracking the screen or even worse, damaging the LCD itself.Just take it to an Apple store and they should be able to do something.

How do I fix a dent on my Macbook Pro?

I recently got my new 13 inch macbook pro on August 29. I love my baby macbook to death and I bring it to school about 2-3 times a week. Today in class, I found out that I have a mini dent on the top left side beside my macbook pro screen. 3 weeks ago, I bought a speck case. I noticed that it does no help to protect my mac. I see scratches on the side of the case, but I don't understand how my mac could be dented. It is kind of flat, unlike the other side, which has a little curve. I am really upset about this, it's also really bothering me, and I would like to fix this. Can someone please help me? :(
Thank you!

How to un-dent a Macbook Pro?

So my iPod fell off a shelf above my Macbook Pro and this resulted in a small dent on the speaker part of the right hand side. It's not huge, but I'd rather it not be there. Is there any way I can get it out? With a suction cup or something? I figured if people can do it on the bodies of their cars, it can be done on a computer too.

Will Apple Care fix a dent in my Macbook Pro?

Bottom line: Damage caused by accident is not covered. Most warranties exclude accidental damage. Be happy that it still works :-)

Here is how to find if this is covered or not. You can read it for yourself here:

Bent macbook Pro CD drive?

I have a Macbook Pro 08 version and the CD drive is bent down so the CD that is in there won't come out. How can I bend this back? Also, does anyone know how to get the back off the Macbook?

How do you fix a dented body on an aluminum MacBook Pro?

The outer part of your MacBook Pro is called the topcase:Assuming that only the casing is dented (with inner components undamaged) you can have the topcase replaced. If you are not a DYI Mac pro, check if your local Apple stores provide the service or if any third party repair shops carry the part that fits your model and do offer the topcase replacement service.Good luck!

My 2016 Macbook Pro (without touch bar) has a heavy dent on the right side of the top case, next to the speaker. Can it affect the inside components?

The concern is not the fact that the dent may impede the normal functioning of the components nearest to it—the force of the impact that caused the dent is what you should be concerned about. The enclosure will absorb more than half of the impact force, but whatever’s left will be absorbed by the components closest to that section of the system—the speaker assembly and the right side of the main logic board. That being said, if it worked properly after the incident, then you’re probably okay aside from the cosmetic issue.
