How To Get A Fabric Softener Out Of A Towel

Why shouldn't you use fabric softener when washing towels?

i used to use a fabric softener all the time in my wash till i found out in one of the answers that it caused the fibers in our clothes to break plus made the towels less absorbent.
So i then found a solution and have never looked back since.
The solution is ADD A CUP OF WHITE VINEGAR TO EVERY RINSE.I was totally amazed with the results,Beautiful soft towels and clothes. They even smelt like a breath of fresh air!!!!Just try it and see if its for you.

I spilled fabric softener all over my carpet. What to do?

It's kinda like spilled milk. Don't worry. You'll just have a soft spot. No pun intended. Use water and a sponge, rinse it like you would your clothing and then pat it dry with a towel. Or you could put a fan on it for a couple of hours. Either way it's no bit deal. Have fun!!

Can I put new microfiber towels in with microfiber towels that have been washed with fabric softener?

my husband didn t know microfiber cloths weren t supposed to be washed with fabric softener and used Liquid and dryer sheet fabric softener, now they re not working.
I bought new ones and have a separate laundry basket for them and came home to find my husband "helping with laundry again" He put all my new cloths in to their own load with some of my old ones he put the fabric softener with, this might be a stupid question but this wont ruin my new ones will it? He didn t put any fabric softener in this time.

I ran out of fabric softener is there something else I can use instead?

You really shouldn't use fabric softeners. They cause towels to not be as absorbent as they could be. It builds up on your clothing and can actually stress the fabric.
