How To Get Scar Tissue Out Of Lip Piercing Hole Ouch Help

How do you get rid of a lump of scar tissue?

A scar forms when tissue is regenerating and maturing, after being put back together. This happens whether or not the assault to the skin took place traumatically or surgically.A scar is permanent, even if a wound is closed by the best of Plastic Surgeons--there will always be a scar. However, there are a few things that can be done to make a scar look as unnoticeable as possible:1) massage: as soon as you are given the ok by your provider, or the injured site stops being tender, a firm massage, with an oil based product, for 3-5 minutes, twice daily, will soften the collagen fibers and help the scar tissue heal flatter. Continue for 1-2 months, depending on severity and size.2) sunscreen: if the scar becomes tanned or burned in the first year of healing, it will become a permanent discoloration. Use sunscreen DAILY. Even on cloudy days. Even on rainy days. Even when there is snow. Even if you have dark skin.3) time: it takes 1 whole year for any injury/cut/incision to finish maturing and healing. It will go through many stages to healing and takes in different appearances during this time. Let your body do what it needs to do. If after a year, you are still dissatisfied with the appearance, there are tricks that Plastic Surgeons have up their sleeves. However, some people are naturally prone to things like keloids (an excessive overgrowth of scar tissue) and most fixes are cosmetic. You must weigh the risks and benefits before attempting a revision.

I got my nose pierced with a gun and its sinking in my hole should i take it out?

Tell the person that is hitting you to stop. They are making the piercing irritated by doing this. Also because you got it pierced with a gun, which like everyone else is saying is a no no, that is also creating huge problems for you. What I would do is go to a professional piercing shop, not the place that pierced you with a gun, but a place that does it correctly with a needle and talk to them about what you should do.

My advice is to tell you to use a salt water solution to clean it with. Anything else is much too harsh to use. You may eventually have to take it out, I think that the earring which is probably what is in there is much too big for your nose. But at least keep it clean and sanitary. I think the main problem is the irritation from the hitting. You could change it to a surgical steel nose screw, you can buy them at the piercing place and they aren't that much money. But are much better for your nose :)

To take it out or not? Well that is why I think you should talk to a professional piercer. They can help you figure out what is the best thing to do. The reason I am not sure is because if you take it out you are exposing your nose to dirt and bacteria. My friend who had hers done with a nose eventually took it out. She has it re-pierced the proper way. You can always get it re-pierced, and next time get someone to do it with a needle. It hurts much less and you will be happier with the piercing. Plus you will have much less problems with the piercing.

How do you treat scar tissue on your lip?

According to Dr. Maurice M. Khosh, New York Facial Plastic Surgeon, it is usual for scars to feel thick and hard in the first few months. In the early phase of healing, fibrous reaction and scar formation is most severe. As time passes, the scars become less firbrotic and softer. This process can take upwards of one year. Most cosmetic scar revisions are delayed by one year to allow for this process to complete. However, , there are a few things that can hasten softening and flattening of scars. They include pressure application and injection with cortico-steroids. If the scar is not old, one can start with massaging of the lip (applying moderate pressure), several times a day. One may also consult with a plastic surgeon to discuss injections of steroids. If the scar is not too bothersome, leave it alone and it should improve with passage of time on its own.

What is a fast way to heal a lip piercing???? please help me!?

They take 6-8 weeks to heal, that's not long at all.
Oral piercings are the fastest to heal.

Just follow the proper aftercare, don't touch it unless your cleaning, don't change the jewelry too soon, etc.
Your body is the only thing in charge of the healing process, not you.

This is the proper aftercare:

How to get my belly button piercing to a bigger gage?

Ok so don't listen to anyone who is saying your an idiot. If you pierced it you pierced it. One way to make the piercing bigger is to stretch it like an ear gage if you can take the pain. If not I would say go get it done at a tattoo shop. And the best way to keep it clean is to use salt water.

Re-Piercing my tongue , will it hurt,..?

I am wanting to re-pierce my tongue and wondering if it will hurt more the second time than the first time??? I have scarred tissue from the first piercing.. anyone?

Should I be seriously worried about this bump on my nipple piercing?

There are 2 kind of bumps when it comes to piercings. Hypertrophic scarring bumps and cysts/boils.

If the bump oozes any kind of fluids like blood or pus or other liquids and hurts you know that it's a cyst/boil. A cyst can also get infected and be filled with pus.

If the bump does not ooze any fluids and does not hurt much you know that's hypertrophic scarring one. This is a formation of scar tissue as the piercing is healing.

Your bumps seem like hypertrophic scarring but I can't be 100% sure because I can't check the discharge from a simple picture. Squeeze it a bit and you'll find out.

You treat both those bumps by doing sea salt soaks twice a day and keep doing until the piercing is fully healed.

How to properly do them :

Warm water (8oz) + non iodized salt (1/4 teaspoon) mixed in a cup. Soak the piercing in for 10 minutes, 2 times a day. Use a q-tip to clean around the piercing thoroughly, rinse with water and pat it dry with a paper towel.
Non iodized salt is cheap and easy to find.

For hypertrophic scarring bumps you can alternate sea salt soaks with chamomile soaks.

It's better to wear a loose athletic bra while sleeping at night to avoid pressure and irritation.

Start to treat it right away. The sooner the better.

Sea salt soaks are necessary for a smooth healing period and a good looking piercing. If can't handle that you shouldn't get piercings.

Can you keep a belly button piercing while pregnant?

I had my belly button pierced for like 4 years before i got pregnant on the top and bottom of my belly button. I took the rings out when i started to "grow" in the belly. I decided to put them back in after i had my daughter only to find out that after the moving twice, i lost the rings. I now have 2 very lovely (said with sarcasm) on my belly button. It is not deformed at all, however it does look a bit weird becaues there are still holes there, but i dont think at this point the ring would fit back through.

If i were you i'd have her either call or go to a local piercing/tattoo shop and talk to the piercer there and see if there are any recomendations that they can make.

Congrats on the pregnancy.

Can you get your belly button re-pierced in the same spot ??

I've had my belly button pierced for 4 years. But then just recently, about 3 months ago, my hole got really stretched out and I barely had any skin left so I just ripped it off cause the skin was hard and dead too. Now I want to get it re-pierced without having to do an inverse-naval piercing. Is this possible??
