How long does your 2 month old sleep through the night?

how long do most 2 month olds sleep during the night?

4 1/2 month old will not sleep through the night?

I'm at wits end with my infant. It's been four weeks with wakings every 3 hours and 20 minutes and now it's every hour. During the day she's hardly asleep - maybe 3 45-60 minute naps. She's up from 7:30/8am until 6:30/7pm. She doesn't nurse long periods of time, more like snacking through the day. Yes, she does fall asleep while nursing and that is when I put her down. But within 45-60 minutes, she's up. I've even resorted to pumping and giving her a bottle at night with 1T of rice cereal. Fortunately, I don't work, but I do have a 3 1/2 year, too. It just makes for a very long and tiring day and I'm afraid of what the night will bring -- lack of sleep!
I've tried giving her a pacifier and it seems to work for a short period of time and then she spits it out, cries and she's up again. When she does nurse, it's only to pacify her, for she only nurses for less than 5 minutes.
An suggestions would be greatly appreciated. I need an infant that will sleep, so we can all function happily and restfully the next day!

How long does your four month old sleep?

When my daughter was 4-5 months old she would go to bed at around 9-10pm and sleep through till 7-8am with out waking for a feed. She slept through the night at 6 weeks old. She would have 3 naps during the day. One straight after her morning feed for about 1-2 hours. Then again at 11am-12pm for 1 hour and again at 5pm for about 1 hour sometimes 2. She would feed (breastfed) every 3 hours during the day. About 5-6 feeds a day.

My 18 month old son still wont sleep thru the night?

I completely agree with the other answers that said that it is normal for many 18 month olds to still wake up at night. Heck, I'm in my thirties and I still don't sleep through the night!

Please do not allow your baby to cry to sleep (some call it cry-it-out, some call it controlled crying, some call it sleep training). When you do that, you are teaching your child that you will not be there when they need you. You will break his heart.

In terms of what to do. I agree that exercise is a great way to improve sleep. I used to think that my son was getting lots of exercise, then I added another 2 to 3 hours more of fresh air and exercise each day and it made a huge difference.

Should I try to get my 4 month old to stay asleep at night as soon as she starts to squirm?

I think that your daughter may have trouble learning to put herself back to sleep if you dont give her the chance to try. I dont think you need to sleep in another room but I do think you should stop trying to get her back to sleep everytime she stirs. I used to react to my daughter everytime she stired too. Now I just ignore the stirring sounds and alot of times she does wake but goes back to sleep alone. Let your baby be and see if she goes back to sleep on her own. If she needs you she will cry and then you can go to her but do give bubs her chance to soothe herself. I often sleep through the sounds of my daughter stirring now. I wake up when she is waking for a feed but I have learnt to recognise the difference between real waking and stirring.
Good luck

How long can I keep my 4 month old puppy in her crate at night? ?

5 hours would be a good starting point for her. Even with our puppy around that age, he would go the entire night without needing to go bathroom, so she may surprise you. As she gets more used to being in the crate and older, you will be definitely able to increase that time, but its great that you are planning on getting up to take her out.

It isn't a problem for you to take her out and then put her back in there, however be warned that she may not want to go back to sleep right away after you have woken her up to take her out so don't be surprised if she tries to make the attention she gets longer during that in between time.
