It's all a matter of opinion really, but I would say the best are the song type canaries as they have been bred to sing. Some breeds of song canary are Spanish Timbrado, German Roller, Waterslager, American Singer, Russian Singer and Persian Singer. You can listen to recordings of them on youtube and decide for yourself, there are even canary singing competitions!
