Black lines on teeth/Mucous in throat/Bleeding Gums..?

Hi, I am a dentist. You seem to have tartar deposition along the tooth and gum lining which is irritating your gums causing gum bleeding. Tartar deposition is major cause of gum bleeding. Smoking is another major factor for gum bleeding. When was your last cleaning down? If its long time then get an appointment fixed with a dentist to get tartar removed which will help healing of the gums. You should also use chlorohexidine mouthwash after tooth brushing to prevent bleeding gums. Natural remedies may work only after tartar removal as this can not be removed by tooth brushing and requires dental professional cleaning.

What should a normal healing socket look like after a tooth extraction?

The purplish area you are describing is perfectly normal. It is essentially a bruise in your mouth from the surgery, just as you would have bruises on any other part of the body that got traumatized (surgery is considered a trauma to the area that had the surgery done to it). The white area too, sounds normal. The white part is essentially a "scab" in your mouth, such as scabs that a person gets on elbows or knees if they get scraped. But because it is wet all the time, it will exhibit in your mouth as being a patch of whitish colored material. If you are in no pain, it is unlikely that they whitish stuff is pus, due to an infection. Infections usually hurt, so this is an indicator to me that you are doing fine. Just follow up with your dentist. Oh, and the swelling is perfectly normal for only being day 4, especially since you had 2 teeth removed. If it bothers you, you can take Tylenol or Aleve (acetaminophen or naproxin). Both of these medications help with swelling, but only take them if you are not allergic. I hope this helps.
