Skyrim: What's best for Vampires?

Hey, I need some help on the video game "Skyrim". I need to know if a vampire is better for using weapons for offensive, or majic for offensive.

I have a Nord vampire lord. Yes, I know that Nords aren't the best suited species for any vampire, but I hated the fact that all the other characters were so small compared to nearly everyone I walked up towards in the game, so I felt like I "needed" to go someone that is the same height as everyone else. Lol.
Anyway, I have a vampire lord Nord. I was/am in to the assassination type of character before becoming a vampir lord with my character, so I end up assassinating people with my bow/crossbow from a distance, and assassinating people with my blade of woe, which due to the enchantments and perks, takes off 30X the original damage.

Near the start of my character I started using illusion aswell, I just liked the idea, which actually plays out since it works well with being a vampire. I have started getting my conjuration up, and about a day or two ago I got up to level 70+ on conjuration. It actually makes the game pretty easy, as if I don't even need to fight, which I am still struggling on if I want or not (not what I need answered, but input on it would be appreciated). I also heard that your conjurations or thralls only go up to level 50? If so, are they any help at all against higher leveled enemies?

I am not sure what I should level up, because I am using all these spells for things that don't require my character fighting, but using weapons for when my character is doing the fighting.

I started leveling up destruction magic (mainly fire). I ended up looking online to see if it was the right area to level, but about three people said that weapons end up doing far more damage in the game than spells, and so I stopped leveling destruction due to not knowing if that was true or not.

My main two I have leveled as a vampire are Magic and health, magic being the primary one (which I think needs to change).

I like the idea of playing as a vampire that is a fighter, and has all these spells they can use that don't cause offensive damage, but makes them very powerful, if you get what I mean?

Anyway, the questions I would like answered are, for a vampire, which would benefit me more?
- Weapons or spells?
- Should I continue leveling conjuration?
- Should health, Magic, or stamina be my primary?

Thanks. :)

How does being a vampire affect you in Skyrim?

I really hated it. It was like having to put a dog leash around my character. Before I was a vampire, my character was capable of spending days in the wilderness (with Lydia), exploring ruins, dungeons, caves and raiding to heart’s content.Every now and then, I could fast travel to a city (like Whiterun), sell my goods, replenish my supplies, do things like smithing and alchemy and hop back into the wild. I absolutely loved it.Then I finish the quest escorting Selena to her daddy. He offered to make me into a vampire and I took it. The whole game experience changed. Now I have 24 hour cycle where my vampire blood makes me vurneable to Sunlight and fire. 48 hours of not drinking blood changes you physically and you cannot enter any city.Worst thing here is that the game does not change to suit your vampirism. You need to sneak into a house and feed off sleeping people like a damn mosquito.I was fighting TONNES of humans, orcs and elves but the game doesn’t have option to subdue them to drink their blood. Sure it has drain skills but that is hardly effective during combat.I had become werewolf before in the Companion mission but that hardly gave so much problem like vampirism. I was able to level my wolf up by devouring hearts after killing my victims (like the Forsworn) but no such mechanism for vampires.

My Skyrim Nord isn't a vampire anymore?

I was playing Skyrim with my vampire nord, but suddenly the game crashed. I opened the game again to find that my character was just a nord, and she was a "PlayerRace" race when I went into the racemenu through console commands. I could spawn a vampire to quickly give me the virus again, but my character still isn't a nord. If I try to edit her through console commands I have to create her all over again and I really don't want to do that because she's perfect and I don't know how to make her face again.

Skyrim: Which has more advantages, Werewolf, or Vampire Lord?

@Death There's a difference between vampires and Vampire Lords. Vampire Lords are a first to The Elder Scrolls series. They have been introduced in the "Dawnstar" DLC that is exclusively available on Xbox 360. It isn't coming out on PS3 and PC until later this year. Vampire Lords are like werewolves. They appear to be typical humans, and can walk in the sun with no ill effects, and transform on command like a werewolf. I'd like to hear from someone who has been both.

What's the best way to play a moral character in Skyrim?

From the start you can scrape The Dark Brotherhood questline for you have to kill Grelod the Kind for it to start, she was a terrible human being, but did she deserve to be killed? Then we get to the Thieves Guild, you are a thief, and your first real job is to be a thug and extort merchants.Dawnguard has two routes the Volkihar and Dawnguard, the former is trailing the vampire questline, you kidnap a priest, enslave him, kill a bunch of drug addicts, your own clan betray you and you have to kill them, so scrap that off. Dawnguard is a bit more moral, you are in to kill the vampires, even though Isran thinks any monstrosity should survive. The College of Winterhold is a quest where you won’t face moral dilemmas, so it is safe to be play. Some might argue that you are involved in Arniel’s “murder”, but he was experiment with something that was able to make a whole race vanish from Nirn. For the Companions you will eventually be given a quest to slaughter the Silver Hand members in retaliation for what they did to both Skjor and Kodlak. For the Blades’ quest to be completed, you have to kill a dragon that has shown redemption, but it is up to you to decide to kill him or not. Most guilds will make you do immoral things so if you plan to have a moral gameplay you would be better off roleplaying as a character that did something bad and wants to repent.

On the game Skyrim, should I be a werewolf or a vampire?

If you decide to become a werewolf:Your beast blood prevents you from getting a “Rested” or “Well-Rested” bonus not that it would matter too much. You cannot be identified as a werewolf until you turn into one in front of people. Then all would attack you.At most guards will ask you “Is that fur coming out of your ears?”In werewolf mode, you have greater speed and melee damage. You cannot use your ranged weapons and are thus susceptible to ranged attacks. You need to feed on people to continue the form. While in that form, all progress would be on werewolf skill tree.During the dawnguard quest line, you are offered a choice of becoming a vampire. You cannot do that if you are a werewolf. You would be forced to follow the Dawnguard quests instead of vampire ones till you finally complete the DLC and face Harkon. You can cure yourself of it through one of the companion quests where you put a glenmoril witch’s head in the fire and kill your wolf spirit. If you decide to become a vampire:Firstly you need to be normal(not a werewolf) to become one. You may become a vampire either by following the quest line of dawnguard where Harkon bestows it upon you or you might become one if you are affected by vampirism and you do not cure it with a potion. You can cure your vampirism by completing a quest given by Falion in Morthal. You may ask Serana to convert you into a vampire if you are cured of it or you had chosen not to become one when Harkon offered.By becoming a vampire, you become an enemy of everyone in Skyrim. People might start attacking you from the moment you appear. You would need to keep your vampire appearance at bay. That means you would need to feed on blood on a regular basis to maintain your form and not transcend into a full blown vampire look. Sunlight would hurt you. You can change into the vampire lord form which has a skill tree of its own. It has both the melee and ranged attack modes (ranged would include life drain spells). Like a werewolf has his speed, a vampire lord has his teleportation powers to vanish in a swarm of bats and appear at a short distance away. By becoming a vampire, you loose your access to Dawnguard castle as they become your enemies. You may complete the quests and kill Harkon but the Dawnguard would still be your enemies. They would keep attacking you wherever they find you. They would even attack you after you cure yourself of vampirism. Now that you know all the aspects, you can make an informed decision.
