Go back and solidify your mechanics then work on the velocity again. Ask coaches or trainers on what you can improve on. If you have a lively arm with control you will be nasty.

It does if you don't warm up enough which takes longer in the cold.

I think they're prettty equal. Baseballs are fast & small but softballs while they're larger & slower tend to "move" more. Either way you've got to have some skill to hit them.
How to throw baseball pitches with a tennis ball? eg. curveball?
Does anyone know if you can throw curveballs or any "moving" pitches with a tennis ball? It would be awesome if anybody actually knows how to give the pitch movement. I've never been able to make one curve at all, but I can't do it with a hardball either.
