How To Relieve Nausea From Too Much Sugar

Why do I feel nauseous after eating sugar?

Do you also feel dizzy, lightheaded, weak? Does it happen immediately or is it delayed? You could be nauseous if you eat too much sugar or refined carbs bc it raises you blood sugar quickly. If the reaction is more delayed, it could be a sudden drop in your blood sugar as your body reacts to all the sugar by releasing insulin.in addition, a lot of sugar like in a sugary drink can have an effect on your GI system, causing nausea, because it can cause an osmotic effect or cause your stomach contents to empty quickly into your small intestine. This can cause nausea as your vagus nerve is stimulated. Some people can’t even handle medications that come in a sugary syrup because of the osmotic effect. Look up “osmotic effect of sugar on the GI system” and “sugar and the vagus nerve,” and “sugar and dumping syndrome.”As always, consult your doctor.

How to relieve nausea from too much sugar?

I've had way too many sweets today, and that's pretty much all I've had. For breakfast, I had two microwave pancakes with syrup. Later I had three pieces of Halloween candy. I wasn't really in the mood for a real lunch, so I had a string cheese (my only real food today) and a chocolate cereal bar (which is more of a dessert than a cereal). I ate the cereal bar about an hour ago and I suddenly feel really sick. I was in a perfectly good mood and actually felt really good but then the nausea hit me. What can I do to fix this? I'm already drinking some 7up.

How can I overcome the nausea from eating too much garlic?

I am not a medical expert. I do have a sensitive stomach and despite my very pro-allopathic (i.e. conventional) medicine opinions, I've been advised to try consumption of fresh garlic as complimentary treatment and had to cope with the same issue. My experience (and no other source) shows that:Eating fresh garlic on an empty stomach is a bad idea. Very bad.If the garlic is chopped up as a part of a salad or added fresh to a cold soup, no nausea ensues unless in large quantities (over 5 cloves)If you crush it freshly onto toast, pref. from heavy dark bread, no nausea will ensue. It's actually yummy and I believe a staple home dish in Russia.(Obviously, if the garlic is even mildly cooked [as in a sauce or soup], even when whole, or even mildly baked, no nausea will ensue, and it will be delicious, but supposedly less nutritious and allegedly less beneficial homoeopathicly.)A more important tip is drink coffee afterwards. It will either not affect your nausea or give you heartburn but in many people's experience, including my own, drinking non-percolator coffee after fresh garlic consumption greatly reduces the typical garlic odour present in some people's sweat or breath. Turkish, Moka pot, French Press or Espresso is most recommended.

Dizziness and nausea after sugar?

The other night i was studying for an exam and ended up snacking on a whole lot of chocolate and chips while i was doing it, it was late in the night. when i eventually got in to bed (feeling fine to begin with) i started feeling slightly bloated and then pretty soon i felt really dizzy, had nausea and really bloated. i couldnt lay on my side because i was so dizzy and i was in and out of the toilet all night with diarrohea and almost vomiting (but never actually did). this kept me awale for most of the night and the feeling was basically gone in the morning.

last night whilst studying again i ate about a handfull of skittles and some potato chips and then last night the same thing happened but with increased dizziness and no diarrohea. I had a really dry mouth and was really thirsty no matter how much water i had.

what do you think this is? could maybe the bits of sugar im having be causing me high blood pressure that easily?

Thanks for any help

What would cause someone to feel dizzy after eating sugar?

Eating sugar increases blood flow to the gut, and reduces levels of certain hormones and causes a small drop in blood pressure. Maybe you should check your blood-pressure before and after eating, and let your doctor know the figures.

Why do I feel sick everytime after I eat sugar?

Sugar is 50% glucose, 50% fructose. You might have fructose intolerance (over 50% of people likely suffer from this).Or you have a digestive sensitivity or budding gastro-intestinal issue. Fructose is problematic because the body cannot digest it, it damages the gut lining on its way to the liver. Then when the liver processes it, it produces some side-products (like uric acid) which are not beneficial to the body.

Why do I feel nauseous when I consume sugar or sweet foods?

If you exercise, do you have the same symptoms? How long has it been like that?  Refined sugar is a poison, as in too many carbohydrates, if our muscle cells are full, unable to accept more glucose from the blood.  Eventually, the glucose will return to the liver where it normally gets turned into fat that goes into fat cells under the skin or is packed around internal organs (Visceral fat), which is far more dangerous. If fructose causes the same reaction, that may be more  difficult.  Fructose does not cause the same instant Insulin hit as glucose, and it is the very reactive Insulin that causes irritation of the artery walls, eventually leading to atherosclerosis .There is only one fuel for our muscles, glucose, which normally comes from carbohydrates or from stored fat.  You're alive, so you are getting glucose from some food.  If your body is telling you it doesn't like those sweets, that could be a blessing that many people would envy, but if you are feeling bad, there's something wrong.  As others suggest, seek medical help.  I don't believe drugs do more than treat symptoms, so I recommend an MD who looks to cure, not treat symptoms. It does sound like a form of  "Carbohydrate Intolerance", which symptoms vary with individuals, but definitely worth considering.  Check this out:  Carbohydrate Intolerance & Insulin Resistance Diet For Improved Health

Nauseous after Sweet Tea?

Okay this might sound bad. I had just finished shopping at the mall, then got a sweet iced tea from McDonalds, and then went home. But now I feel EXTREMELY nauseous. Especially when I stand up. I drank alot of it at once, is it from that or do you think it's the tea?
Thanks!

Can too many sodas cause nausea?

I've been having a problem for about 2 months now. I'll get nauseous for no apparent reason. I do have quite a bit of stress and I have a soda (with caffeine if relevant) at least once a day, which I think is contributing to it and so I'm going to cut back.

Can too many sodas cause nausea or is this something else?

Quick Easy Way to stop Nausea?

Ive been taking medication and its made me really nauseated. I can stop taking the meds now BUT i cant seem to stop the nausea. Ive been drinking clear fluids and trying to keep down some sugar free juice pops but nothing seems to be helping, as soon as i eat anything (or nothing) i still feel nauseated and it comes back up. This has been going on all day. I dont have a car (broke down last night) and my dr is closed for now so seeing a dr is not really an option. I did take some bismuth and that just seemed to worsen it. please if anyone has any suggestions let me know, im really miserable =( I wont be able to see my dr until monday.
