How do I remove static from a vocal audio recording?
When people mention static in recordings, it brings about the question as to whether they are actually describing distortion.Clipping of the audio signal, either by tracking with levels that peak above 0 dBFS, overmodulating the input of the microphone preamp, or the microphone's internal preamplifier. The other spot where a static like effect may creep in, is incorrectly adjusted attack and release times on compressors. The last issue is usually an easy fix, as plugins are often post recording, and may be tweaked to your heart's content.Clipping the input signal anywhere along the chain is rather problematic, and takes a bit of skill as well as gentle manipulation with some very powerful software to rectify.Izotope's De-Clip Module even comes with their Elements software at $129.00has modules that work well with analog and digital clipping. The trick here, is first to duplicate the track, and do your editing on the "Safety Copy", as your renders are destructive.Making several small corrections, removing a bit of the artifact at a time, digging slightly deeper each time is the secret of doing the least damage to the programme material. You can download a demo version which runs for two weeks iirc, which should give you plenty of time to learn the application, and repair a file.Of you like what it does, you might consider purchasing the product…Izotope makes some really fantastic stuff.Have fun recording and mixing!
How can I remove white noise from an audio recording?
This is what I would do. Download Audacity audio editor for free. It’s awesome, seriously and works on PC and Mac. You’ll need the lame mp3 plugin if you want to export your finished audio in mp3, which I imagine you will. Yes that’s what it’s called> Lame.Copy your audio to another folder so you have a backup and import your audio clip into Audacity and expand the waveform you see by right clicking the little magnifying glass icon with a + symbol in it.Now you open the noise reduction plugin under “effects”Now you highlight a piece of waveform that has white noise but not voices.Click on get noise sample.Highlight the whole audio file and click on reduce noise. There are 3 settings currently on the noise reduction plugin, start with the defaults. You can go way up with the settings but the voice quality will begin to break down. It’s very labor intensive and almost like work to reduce the noise without damaging the voice intelligibility. Every step of the way you can click edit>undo. To save go to file export. Good luck.

White noise when recording?
I have looked at the specs on all the involved hardware and do not see and compatibility problems. If I had to guess, I'd point at the phantom supply however. I'd see if you can borrow one for testing. My second guess would be the interface. I do not consider the microphones suspect. I'll make two comments that unfortunately I suspect you will not appreciate. First, this type of problem is the biggest problem with any digital system, there very difficult to troubleshoot. With an analog system, one could insert a test at almost any part of the signal chain. Secondly, I should mention the quality of the components you describe are fairly low end. Digital and low end are a combination that can offer allot of opportunity for troubleshooting. It looks like you have some decent microphones but you might consider a little higher end encoder and phantom supply. Consider a small scale protools rig allowing for 8 tracks to be recorded at once can cost up to $ 12,000.00 for the MAC pro, Hard drives, pre-amps, encoders and software. Best of luck to you and happy recording. The trick is to outfit yourself so you spend less time fixing and more time picking.
How do I remove motion noise from a record made while it was in my pocket?
Usually the ‘motion noise’ as you refer to it is the sound of something rubbing against the microphone. I am assuming it makes loud noise whenever the mic or the phone itself against the fabric in your pocket or the phone itself. One way to reduce this is to run a high psss filter over the recording which will remove any ultra low frequency component of the audio recording.
How to get rid of background noise while recording?
I just bought a samson meteor mic, and I am loving the quality, and everything else about the mic besides... background noise. Every mic I have ever owned has had this problem, and it seems as if there is nothing I can do. What doesn't make since to me is that while I'm watching a podcast stream, sometimes people call in with low quality mics, but they don't have any background noise, is there anything I can do to rectify this problem? I love the quality of this mic, but I just wish it would only pick up my voice, and not every microscopic gust of air. In my opinion I spent a decent chunk of cash, but still can't get a recording without constant background noise.
Can I remove unwanted noises from mobile phone voice recorder?
That’s a tough one because I use iPhone and you didn't specify. If your recorder app will let you export the file then email it to yourself as m4a or better MP3 then download onto your laptop or desktop.Download Audacity for your OS , install with MP3 Lame plugin, and import the audio file into Audacity.Open the noise reduction effect and pick a little section that has no voice and click “get sample” the select the whole audio and use noise reduction with default settings and the reduce box checked. It sounds like a lot but it will take you ten minutes at mostDownload | Audacity®Lame for Audacity - FFMpeg for Audacity - Free and Safe downloads
