How do you set the perfect settings for your Nvidia graphics card?

Let me boot up my desktop real quick.Okay, hopefully you have all of your Nvidia drivers up to date. If you don't you'll want to download the GeForce experience from Nvidia, just look it up you'll find it.Open the GeForce Experience and you should see a list of games. If some are missing they aren't compatible with the software, that's fine. Sometimes you have to restart your computer for the GeForce Experience software to work, which is fine. If you hover over a game you can see the options Play and Details. Details will show you the optimal settings for your GPU as well as the current settings (if you’ve played the game before). You can also press the optimize button to set the optimal settings. If you go to the Gear Icon in the main menu of GFE you can set the check box to automatically optimize newly added games, which is cool. These settings are usually the best for balancing performance with graphics, but you can manually change settings in either direction to get better performance or graphics.Edit:I just wanted to add a cool feature I didn't previously know about.I play Skyrim (and the Special Edition) a lot. Recently I've been confined to 5:4 aspect monitor (Dell Ultrasharp 1280x1024) which I bought at a thrift store for 10 bucks. While trying to okay Skyrim I discovered that the launcher doesn't support very many aspect ratios or resolutions, only having 16:9 and 16:10 at various resolutions in those ratios. For awhile I was content with running Skyrim at 16:10, leaving a strip of my desktop showing while I played. Then I answered this question and found that the GFE could change game resolutions outside of what the launcher showed. Cool!

How to change default graphics card?

I recently bought a new laptop from Dell with windows 8, but it had 2 graphics cards. One was the integrated graphics card (Intel HD 4000) and the other was an AMD Radeon HD 7730M, which is the one I want as default. Currently, all programs and applications use the Intel graphics card which is no where near as good as the AMD one. Can someone please tell me how to fix this?

How do I switch graphic card from intel to amd in window 10?

Here is a simple way to enable high performance card (AMD here) on your laptop.Open catalyst control centre. If you haven't yet installed catalyst, just go ahead and download it from AMD site ,after entering your laptop details on the site itself.Open CCCGo to Settings icon on top right corner, set to Advanced view.Go to power options/switchable graphics settingsIf your application or game is visible in the list go ahead and change its status to High performance .If it isn't present, add the application file (.exe) and then change its settings to High performance. Now go to the battery icon, right click, select mobility optionChoose either balanced or high performance. Now go back to CCC, under power options make sure the settings are changed to Maximise performance on the required power mode ( balanced/high).Enjoy gaming with your AMD card.

How can I change my default graphics card?

I have a Lenovo G780 laptop with two graphics cards, an Intel HD Graphics 4000, and a NVIDIA GeForce GT 630M. The Intel Control Panel only allows me to set the Display to Built-In Display and the DirectX Diagnostic Tool also states that my graphics card is the Intel one, however the NVIDIA Control Panel allows me to change between Integrated Graphics and High-Performance NVIDIA Processor.
Is there any way to change the default graphics card to the NVIDIA one?
Help is much appreciated.

What are the main functions of NVIDIA graphics card on a laptop?

The functions of any GPU, be it AMD or NVIDIA are simply put to make graphical calculation. Calculations that might that the CPU on its is only a while to calculate. Now with that out of the below is a bit more detailed explanation of functions of a GPU.Definition of: GPU(Graphics Processing Unit) A programmable logic chip (processor) specialized for display functions. The GPU renders images, animations and video for the computer's screen. GPUs are located on plug-in cards, in a chipset on the motherboard or in the same chip as the CPU (see diagram below). See logic chip.A GPU performs parallel operations. Although it is used for 2D data as well as for zooming and panning the screen, a GPU is essential for smooth decoding and rendering of 3D animations and video. The more sophisticated the GPU, the higher the resolution and the faster and smoother the motion in games and movies. GPUs on stand-alone cards include their own memory (RAM), while GPUs in the chipset or CPU chip share main memory with the CPU.Emphasis on “Not Just Graphics Processing”Since GPUs perform parallel operations on multiple sets of data, they are increasingly used as vector processors for non-graphics applications that require repetitive computations. For example, in 2010, a Chinese supercomputer achieved the record for top speed using more than seven thousand GPUs in addition to its CPUs (see GPGPU). See graphics pipelineand multi-GPU.Graphics Hardware LocationsIn a PC, graphics rendering originally took place in the CPU. Over time, functions were offloaded to separate circuits and then to GPUs either in separate cards, the PC's chipset or the CPU chip itself. See display adapter, integrated graphics and integrated GPU.An Integrated GPUThis Trinity chip from AMD integrates a sophisticated GPU with four cores of x86 processing and a DDR3 memory controller. Each x86 section is a dual-core CPU with its own L2 cache. -Anti-Aliasing (use application settings is checked morphological filtering is not checked)
leveled lowest and filter is standard

-Anisotropic filtering (use application settings is checked)
at lowest per-pixel samples

-Tessellation (AMD optimized is checked Use application settings is not)
at the highest level

-Catalyst A.T. (Texture Filtering Quality is at medium quality) (enable surface format optimization is checked)

-Wait for vertical refresh is on second slash on performance

-Anti-Aliasing mode is at all the way at performance

-OpenGL settings (Triple buffering is not check)

i know not every game will work with the same settings so please help me with this
btw my overdrive things are all the way down at

How do I select my NVIDIA graphics card as the default card instead of the integrated one?

If you have a desktop, just shut down your system, plug the monitor cable to your NVIDIA GPU and restart the system. Simple as that.If you have a laptop you have two options: IF there is a setting in BIOS that lets you disable iGPU, then disable it. If not, you need to manually adjust games and apps to use the NVIDIA GPU:
