The Sims 3 - How do I transfer the game and all the expansion packs to another pc?
Hello Ive just got a new pc and wanted to transfer all my sims 3 + expansion packs to it. One of my discs are lost (Show Time), and copying all the files from C:\Program Files\Electronic Arts\The Sims 3 (Late Night, Show Time, Seasons, Generations) and the saves from C:\User\Documents\Electronic Arts doesn't seem work, I've already tried it and it did only startup The Sims 3 minus all the expansions. Then I reinstalled all the expansions to my new pc and they work fine now, but Im still missing the Show Time exp. So is there any way to link my Show Time from my old pc with the new ones? I don't have the cd key nor merged the game with my origin account.

A while ago my friend lent me Sims 3 Late Night and Fast Lane. I downloaded it on my mom's pc and then I didn't have a laptop and I already gave the games back as soon as I had downloaded it on her pc. I wanted to ask...how can I transfer or get the two games onto my laptop without using the CDs? Thanks! (=

EA games has a website called Origin where you can download their games. Through that program, you can take those serial numbers and get an electronic copy on your computer for free. Just make sure that they have not been used before or it will not work.
How do I move Sims 2 from one computer to another without reinstalling?
I have every Sims 2 expansion pack/stuff pack/what have you. However, it's on my home computer right now, and I want to move it over to my personal computer without reinstalling it, because most of the expansions I borrowed from a friend who I don't see any more, and I'd like to save my Sim families. So, is there any way to move the game from, say, C:/Program Files/EA Games/ etc., on to another computer without having to reinstall it? Could I just copy those files onto a USB drive or something?

i have all the latest expansion packs and stuff packs installed on my computer with the exception of world adventures, the first ep. the problem is, the only disk i have is for the high end loft stuff pack. but it won't let me play the game because i don't have any of the other disks. is there any way to play them without the disks? sidenote: i didn't borrow the games. i downloaded them using torrents, but nothing but the keygen and the install file was with the files i downloaded. when i use winzip, a crap ton of files show, but idk which one to use if there is some kind of crack or patch i can use. please help someone???

If they are older copies from before the discs started trying to use Origin, then yes, you can install and play them without registering.I didn’t bring the disc for Seasons on vacation once, and forgot to register it with Origin before that, but Origin didn’t care if I wanted to play with that expansion.So you should be fine playing with a mix of registered and unregistered expansions.

It depends a bit on how old the discs are and how much you have patched them.The earlier* discs didn’t require an Origin account, so you could install them on multiple computers with the same serial number.You could only play on one computer at a time, of course, since you had to have the disc in the drive to play. But if you had three expansion packs, you could lend the base game and the first two expansion packs to your friend and he could install them and play with the second EP disc in his drive and you with the third EP disc (you have to have the newest EP disc in the drive, as far as I know).However, later when they added Origin, things got more tricky. I haven’t played much in the last couple of years so I’m not sure how locked-down things are now.*Note that ‘earlier’ here refers to the year when the disc was pressed, not when that game/expansion pack/stuff pack was first released.I have a base game CD with no Origin, someone else in my household has a base game CD with Origin—that one was bought several years later. So the discs are not the same.

the game requires the disc of the latest game you have installed, according to the order the games came out, not the order you bought them. unfortunately, if you have generations installed, you need to use its disc to play the game, unless you buy and install the latest stuff pack.
Sims 3/Origin won't let me play the Late Night expansion?
I have the disc in my computer, but when I press play, it says, "No Disc Found! Please insert Sims 3 University".. thats not even the expansion im trying to play! Plus, I lost that disc anyway and can't play it! I use origin and i have a PC computer. It wont let me launch the games without Origin, so I have to use Origin for launch. What do I do?!
