Can I remove the interior brick from a fireplace?

Hey There!

I was just browsing around on Yahoo Answers and came across this question of yours.

I actually just purchased a home and am having the entire fire place taken out. It is not costing much at all to do this because it simply needs the boards and drywall and you are good to go. If you want to sell down the road just make sure it is on paper where the opening is that they could put a fireplace of their liking in it. IKEA has a lot of very contemporary fireplace ideas if that is what you are looking for and several other options as well.

I also wanted to mention that I’m an IKEA Regional Manager and was informed of a private website at my last regional managers meeting that ended up to be a promotion we’re doing.

This website is giving away several hundred $1,000 IKEA Giftcards for just putting in your zipcode. It’s a marketing campaign they are doing to see what areas of the country people are interested in IKEA!

You can’t go wrong… Just put in your zipcode and get a $1,000 IKEA Giftcard.

Heck, you could even get the FREE Giftcard and sell it on ebay and go buy stuff somewhere else with the money you just made!

How to update a worn red brick wall?? PLEASE HELP!!?

I've seen some really nice painted brick walls. The effect is pretty cool after wards. Choose a color that would suite the room and go for it. Other than that you will either have to tear it down or cover it with ply wood sort of like to build a new wall over it. Am not familiar with the various methods.

I did read that painting a brick wall is a bit hard. The whole point is to get the paint to stay on the bricks so it doesn't flake off. You will have to prime the wall as a first step. If you decide to paint it, go to your supplier and expalin exactly what you want to do and he will give the correct supplies. Priming is just like a clear varnish that you paint as an undercoat to prepare the surface to paint.

I found some cool instructions that might help.
