How to convert Imovie to Windows Movie Maker?

Can you watch an iMovie on an HP computer?

Depends.
You say you 'saved it to your flashdrive'.
Did you save the iMovie project file? Or did you save the final video?

If you didn't actually export the video, you need to open iMovie, and open your project.
Then click Share -> Export using Quicktime

This will make a .mov file that any computer can play if it has QuickTime installed (including your HP computer)

How do you watch an IMovie on Windows?

Hey Tony, that sounds great. What I did originally was copy the file into a converter I downloaded from the Mac app store and then convert the movie to avi, but when I tried it, it said it needed a codec file or something like that. Is that still going to happen?

How to download imovie on windows?

There's no ACTUAL iMovie that you can get for Windows but in the new version of Adobe's Premiere Elements, there's a program so close to it that it might as well be.
It simplifies all the technical stuff about video-editing and publishing processes.
More information on it here:

To get it though, you can purchase it or download a trial version on previous link at the official website in legal means.
It's possible to also get it off various torrent websites but I wouldn't really reccomend it as its illegal and its risky if you don't know what you're doing by accidently acquiring any unwanted viruses.

Can you watch an iMovie project on PC?

I did a project for school on imovie too. Ok so what I did was export the movie once i was done editing it and then instead of using a CD i used a USB stick. You know the storage ones that have like 2gb and up. So once the video was exported i dragged and dropped the video inside the USB stick folder. The next day my teacher put it in the computer (which is a PC) and it worked just fine.

Video made on iMovie won't play on Windows Media Player?!?

What format did you save your iMovie file as, my friend?

You MAY need to convert the file into one that's usable by Windows Media Player.

Try using Format Factory. This is a FREE converter program that can convert multiple audio, video, and picture files.

Unfortunately, Format Factory is a Windows only program, so you'll need to do the converting on the Windows PC.

Can you download iMovie on a PC?

I agree that iMovie is like 1000x better than Windows Movie Maker, but no. Unfortuately, Apple doesn't support the iMovie application on a PC. There are some great alternatives like Vegas Movie Studio. Here's the link for it if you are interested:
