How To Write A Project On Role Of Ethics In Business Administration

Business Administration VS Business Economics?

I am studying in a community college and want to major in business. I want to transfer to UC. But then, most of them have business economics instead of Business Administration. They sound similar and they overlap in some sorts of way. What is the real difference between these two. What jobs can I get after graduating with either major. Thanks.

Why do we need values and ethics in public administration?

Public administrators are the key instruments of policy implementation in a nation-state.Policies are the manifestation of the broad-based goals of the state.Democratic countries represent the hopes and aspirations of the general public in their policies. Thus, to some extent, the policies are directed towards the value-based development. Now, What’s value? It is the onus of care that one attaches to a habit, ritual, principle etc. For example, values were placed in integrity once upon a time(Bhagat Singh accepted death for his motherland which was valued and he became the celebrated Shaheed-e-Azam), while now, economic status(Vijay Mallya, Mehul Chowksi are at no pain per se) can bring the social status along with all those which a society places value in.So, in general ethics and morality is a guided conscience towards the inclusive development of all sections of society at all levels. Therefore, who if not public administrators, would need the ethics and morality while handling the hopes and aspirations of crores and crores of people of the nation.P.S. Drawing a parallel of the question from public administrators to our own homes, just think, what lays for the future of a home whose elders are corrupted at socio-economic levels.Reference:Probity in public life

How important is it to study business administration if I want to open my own business?

You need to study how to prepare accounts and business plans so go ahead. Most of it you can do yourself, you really need to understand how a balance sheet is prepared and what it tells you.Even some of today’s top executives are totally ignorant on the subject. On the admin side most small businesses just totally ignore the basics.I was a a consultant for a while and finance officer for some smaller companies and it was scary just how little admin they had.The worst case was a million turnover company that had a computer to ‘do the accounts’.What a shower, the client and supplier files were all over with duplicate acounts and none of the address info or telephone numbers were on the computer, just on a rollodex on the owner’s desk.No backups of any data, a complete shambles.Six months later it was all up to speed and the owner had all the information at his fingertips, accounts, budgets and forecasts, the trouble was it showed he was going only one way.I had a full and frank meeting with the owner and he told me that it was all my fault as before I was there he was doing fine. I came along and messed up his business. So I left and 3 months later the company was bust. All my fault, sorry.

What is your opinion on the ethics of a business leader receiving $100 million?

My opinion is they got there so they earned it.... but if it results in many workers loosing their job, especially when their salary is often absurdly higher than the right thing to do is look out for the people trying to make a living instead of getting 5 new private jets.

After completing her undergraduate degree in business administration, Robin starts looking for a job. Robin re?

Robin is bound to the offer, if she accepts the job under those terms. She is free to give notice and quit.

During the interview she needs to have "balls enough" to nail them down to an exact Salary, as well as frequency of payment.

If this is a true case, and the interview is already completed, write them a letter stating that she "needs to know the exact salary, in dollars, before she can make a decision on the offer. You may mail your response to me at the following address." Now, you either get it in writing, or if they beat around the bush, you turn it down.
