How Would You Describe His Facial Features

What to describe this guy's facial features?

Im writing a story but am having a hard time describing the character's face, features and stuff.
How to desribe him? His hair, eyes, jawline etc.

How to describe facial features?

Before I give you examples, I would like to let you know that a little goes a long way. As a writer you may have a great picture in mind and you end up writing too much about your character's physical description which tends to happen a lot with amateur writers. However, as a reader you create your own idea and it doesn't take much.

For example:

-She has soft cheek bones with round almond eyes. Peeling back her soft rose lips, two dipples appear on her cheek as she chatters with her close friends about insignificant things.

-Jake's eyes seem sharp and cold just like the rest of his facial features. Ella timidly shifts away from the aggressive looking boy, as his eyes follow her every move. In fact, Jake isn't glaring nor is he even frowning, but his relaxed expression seems to frighten people away.

-The old man coughs and heaves as his wrinkled skin puckers up as his face becomes constricted in pain. Age, he thinks bitterly as he spits a globe of saliva into the sink. How he despised being old. His ancient hands shake involuntarily as he struggles for a moment to open his bottle of blood thinners.

So I hope this helped you in some way. As I mentioned before you don't really need to describe everything at once. Here is an example of what you probably shouldn't do.

-His brilliant cold gray eyes pierce through Lily causing her to stop in her tracks. His ebony black hair contrasts against his snow white skin and for a brief moment she swears his thin lips flick up to a smirt. The man is certainly gorgeous with his prominent high cheek bones, and slender nose. Even the simple black T-shirt he is wearing seems to make this man appear like a model that stepped out of a magazine. Snapping out of her gaze, she hurries past him and she is able to get a whiff of his scent.

(Can you see the difference? The one I just wrote above has too much detail and as a reader you may be thinking....okay yeah we get it he is beautiful. It sounds like a typical YA description of a vampire or something doesn't it?) ^.^

Hmmm. . .

I guess I'd say angular. Slightly sharp. Has the cheek bones, the nose I wouldn't call *pointy*, but again, well-defined angle.

I don't watch that vampire show, but I liked him in "Lost". I was sorry they killed him off, but then, there was plenty of other eye candy for me on that island! :)

His very blonde hair contrasted with his dark eyebrows giving attention to his electric blue eyes.

His oblong facial shape gave more insight to his best facial features.

His lips are a soft pink and plumped.

His Nixon nose shows his straight bridge, curvy edge and wide nostrils.

His body is naturally tanned.

His chest is neatly toned.

His detailed belly button tattoo rests below his nicely formed abs.

His arms are toned and his muscles are average to medium.

His numerous tattoos over his arms adds more beauty to himself.

His body is healthy and slim.

His legs are also toned, naturally tanned and average muscle is evident.

I'm doing caricatures (not drawings, in literature) for my english class, and I'm having trouble really capturing Tom's features, which is upsetting me because he has such distinct features. I was wondering how any of you would describe him? it can be poetic, straightforward, anything! thank you!
