Hows My Song Need Your Feedback

How do I get a safe and honest feedback on my song?

If you’re looking for a professional critique of your song, there are a handful of options. I agree with Seth - NSAI is awesome! If you simply google “song critiques” you will find a number of options. You’ll have to use your best judgment as to which ones are legit. Some offer a recorded critique, some a written one etc. The prices vary as well.I apologize if these seems opportunistic…but my company also offers song critiques via a live facetime or skype interaction. If this is something you’re interested simply message me. I’m confident you’ll be happy with our service…but there are many options for you - so choose as you will! Either way, I hope this was helpful and good luck!

How do I get advice or feedback on a song I made?

There are several websites where you can post your music and get people to listen to it and give you feedback. Currently I am on several, Reverb Nation is a good place to start and you can create an account for free, There is also Number One Music but you are limited to uploads if you choose the free membership. I am also on MTV Artist Page and that is another option.I listened to your song and it was just okay for me. The beat was good and the music wasn’t bad but the recording of the actual vocals was a bit off. It was not integrated well into the music and so it sounded like you were just adding the rap over the top of an existing music track. Also it didn’t appear there were any effects whatsoever on the vocals so they were a little lifeless. At the very least a little reverb would help of maybe even a little delay. All in all it wasn’t bad but it was nothing earth shattering and sounded like a lot of other music of that genre.

Can I get some feedback on a techno/industrial song?

A callingTough genre to produce. Reference in my mind is Venetian Snares Hardcore tracks. I liked the worked on the samples, but i thought it was either not enough immersive (elements may be too overlapping and not well mixed, lack of bass), or not creative and crazy enough (no jungle madness, breakbeat, or "blow my house away please" distorsion). The equilibrium with the calmer water droplets synths is a very cool idea though. Choose what element I need to focus on at what time, and separate things in the mix and in the structure, this track could become a better dark / light journey instead of a half-noise half-techno half-ambient stuff Also perhaps lower the agressive mids you seem to like :)  It crushed my ears, and I'm used to strange stuff...DroneLoved it from the first seconds. This time you had the immersion and separation of frequencies needed. Again, watch out for these crying "dark metallic screams" mids they get annoying when they are too loud, (and do not bring that much imho, the track spirit would be better without them i think).Clear and great structure, chorus with chords is great, balance kick / bass /samples / noise is very well done, as well as upper drums prog.Should have an outro worth it ! Piano in EReminded me of a track i did a long time ago, but i picked the piano melody from a open partition as i suck at melody, and hid it behind mad drums. Not sure what you want to achieve here, in the perspective of an EP ? A break ? Test your melody skills ? Do April 14th ?Completely incoherent with the previous tracks. Sounds are classics, we can see a progression but it turns out to be dadaistic cheesy... I found it funny, but you could plug more 'meaning' on it, like bring progressively distorsion or noisey sounds you love, in E too, and end up the track in complete mayhem "We are happy and dancing but hooo noooo...." See below haha.A new dayWo complete change of style again, but I see the coherence. Back in the 90s, nice. Nothing to add there, pretty classic construction and mood. Perhaps the bass synth panned left right looses the drive it was supposed to bring. You just need a better mixing and mastering of this one. Bass and kick was clearer in Drone. That was my 2 cents, good luck man and keep going :)

I need some honest opinions and helpful feedback of my music?

Would like some feedback on my guitar playing?

I don't know how ling you have been playing, to me it seems that you are just starting out, maybe 3 or 4 months out... but here is all I can say....is Practice Practice Practice...I am sure you have heard that before..It's true....
Try this...Learn one song, any song from to back....even the solos. Know it where you could pay it in the dark. Once you get that song nailed, get yourself a 'comfort' when playing, and in that comfort, that's when you will be able to channel what seems to be missing, 'feeling'....It seems you are just going through the motions, and I hear no feeling...The Crow solo was the closest thing with any feeling, but still seemed to be missing a bit. Feelings, in my opinion is one the hardest things to carry over covering a song. Once you get that energy or emotion channeled, it will make a huge difference in your overall sound.

Everyone is different and learns at different speeds. Do rush yourself, do cut corners, don't settle for close...alway challenge yourself, and if you are still having problems..

There is nothing wrong with taking a lesson here or there...you can learn a lot in a short period of time, but to me it is how you apply it...
Good Luck

How can I get rid of my guitar amp's feedback?

Alright, I'm going to cover a song on guitar for my school's talent show. The guitar for the song is drenched in distortion. But to get that much distortion, my amp starts squealing unbelievably. I can't just turn my gain/distortion down, so please don't suggest that as I have tried and it produces an unacceptably clean tone. I have tried standing as far away from my amp as I can and facing away from it to no avail whatsoever. I heard that active pickups were supposed to kill unwanted noise, but other people have said they pump you with more distortion and it doesn't help feedback. I've also thought about noise gates but I know very little about them. So any other tips for getting rid of this feedback would be greatly appreciated. Should I get active pickups? I was thinking about getting Seymour Duncan Blackout humbuckers. Or should I get a noise gate? I just don't know. Please help.

Musicians: How many songs do you think you'd need to perform to fill out a two-hour gig?

It depends on your ability to talk to a crowd. If you can introduce a song well with something that puts it into context and interests the audience you're more likely to want to space 15 songs out into two hours with some good spoken anecdotes and introductions spread throughout. (Scottish comic legend Billy Connolly started as a serious folk musicians but his introductions got longer and funnier as his career progressed. He became known for his spoken sections and the songs became the low point of his act so he dumped them and became a stand up)If you're not comfortable talking to the crowd (or you don't think you're interesting enough) you probably need to play 20+ songs to fill in two hours. But make sure you vary them and mix up the setlist with a few different styles. Twenty heartfelt ballads in a row might tax the audience's patience.
