I accidentally bit an Ibuprofen yesterday, and am In a lot of pain.?
Basically, I was having an Ibuprofen to get rid of a headache, but I accidentally bit it. My mouth tasted horrible so I tried to rinse out the tablet. This caused my mouth to feel as if it was burning. Then I realised that my tongue had swollen up on both sides, and that it was really painful on both sides. I do not have an allergy to any of the ingredients of the ibuprofen. And it is not like an allergic reaction. If anyone could help, this is still causing me a lot of pain. Thank you.

I accidentally took 1200mg (two 600mg tablets of ibuprofen at once late last night)?
I'm 18 year old male and I mixed up my medecines for my hip problem and didn't pay attention that I was taking ibuprofen, needless to say I took too much and now the next day my heart is beating kinda fast, im shaking and im drooling a bit, earlier I was totally fine, but I went to sleep and when I woke up i've been super drowsy, and my stomach hurts. Its literally taking all of my energy to write this, what happens when you overdose on ibuprofen once?

Yes. You are going to die. However, the good news is that this porbably won't happen for several years. The dosage on those bottles is usually FAR less than the dosage required to kill a person. You should be okay. Long before these drugs are even given to humans, the lethal dosage for animals is determined, and then the dosage recommended for humans is based on a balance between this dosage and an effective dosage. In the future, be more careful about what you're taking though.

Its all about timing.First, don’t take them together, no matter what amount of dosage you take.Second, If you had food and alcohol together and wish to take ibuprofen, then you should wait ideally for 3 hours as the food is mixed with alcohol.These are to avoid stomach related problems that arise from mixing alcohol and pain killers.Third, when you have consumed 2–3 drinks , you should not take any pain killer till 10 hours as it can cause liver damage. If you have taken only one drink, like a glass of wine or a pint of beer without any food, then drink more water which will cause your kidneys to process the alcohol quickly out from the system, then you can take the medicine normally after 2 hrs.However, its better to wait for 24 hrs to be sure as there is no way to be sure after what time alcohol is out of you system before that. It varies from person to person.Advice: drink lots of water before you take the medicine, in case you had taken alcohol prior to that, when you feel sober and NOT hungover, take the medicine.
