I Accidentally Bit An Ibuprofen Yesterday And Am In A Lot Of Pain.

I accidentally bit an Ibuprofen yesterday, and am In a lot of pain.?

Basically, I was having an Ibuprofen to get rid of a headache, but I accidentally bit it. My mouth tasted horrible so I tried to rinse out the tablet. This caused my mouth to feel as if it was burning. Then I realised that my tongue had swollen up on both sides, and that it was really painful on both sides.

I do not have an allergy to any of the ingredients of the ibuprofen. And it is not like an allergic reaction. If anyone could help, this is still causing me a lot of pain. Thank you.

I accidentally took 9 ibuprofen within an hour and a half and about 3 hours later I was in a fetal position on the ground crying because of the severe abdominal pain I was in. What happened? I was also drinking.

Ibuprofen is relatively safe but when overdosed it can cause stomach bleeding, which can be life-threatening if not treated.Whether or not the amount you took simply ate away at your stomach lining and caused some severe inflammation, or whether it actually caused damage and stomach bleeding is not something I can say. What I would say, is that you should go to a doctor and make sure that you did not cause any serious damage and that there is no stomach bleeding. This can also damage your liver and so you may also want to get your liver checked to make sure you did not cause some damage that needs to be addressed. You say that you vomited and felt better. This may very well be the case, but this can actually be dangerous.Your stomach has a lining that helps protect it. Your esophagus on the other hand, is quite delicate and can be prone to damage. This is why when people overdose, medical professionals do not generally advise that they be induced to vomit, because this can actually cause burning and damage to the esophagus, that the stomach can withstand until help arrives. You’re very lucky that you didn’t burn a hole in your esophagus when you threw up. You should have contacted poison control immediately, and especially as you were in as much pain as you were in.

I accidentally took 1200mg (two 600mg tablets of ibuprofen at once late last night)?

I'm 18 year old male and I mixed up my medecines for my hip problem and didn't pay attention that I was taking ibuprofen, needless to say I took too much and now the next day my heart is beating kinda fast, im shaking and im drooling a bit, earlier I was totally fine, but I went to sleep and when I woke up i've been super drowsy, and my stomach hurts. Its literally taking all of my energy to write this, what happens when you overdose on ibuprofen once?

Accidently took ketorolac 20mg after taking 200mg ibuprofen. Am i going to die?

Yes. You are going to die. However, the good news is that this porbably won't happen for several years. The dosage on those bottles is usually FAR less than the dosage required to kill a person. You should be okay. Long before these drugs are even given to humans, the lethal dosage for animals is determined, and then the dosage recommended for humans is based on a balance between this dosage and an effective dosage. In the future, be more careful about what you're taking though.

Can you overdose on 1200 mg of Ibuprofen?

Brufen is a non steroidal anti inflammatory (NSAID).It is related to aspirin. One 1200mg dose is unlikely to harm an otherwise healthy and not NSAID sensitive person but it can seriously harm others. You should NEVER exceed the stated maximum dose unless advised by your doctor. The prescription dose of brufen is not to exceed 800mg every 8 hours.Brufen is dangerous to some people with asthma, to those with ulcers and with bleeding disorders, and to those who react to it. It has a significant impact on the body, and has side effects. So, although you are unlikely to overdose, you could also have a serious bleed that threatens your life.If you need more than the stated dose, its not the right drug for the problem. Get help from a doctor and/or speak to the pharmacist. Do NOT take more than it says to take on the package.

Can I have a glass of wine if I already had 600mg of Ibuprofen today?

Its all about timing.First, don’t take them together, no matter what amount of dosage you take.Second, If you had food and alcohol together and wish to take ibuprofen, then you should wait ideally for 3 hours as the food is mixed with alcohol. These are to avoid stomach related problems that arise from mixing alcohol and pain killers.Third, when you have consumed 2–3 drinks , you should not take any pain killer till 10 hours as it can cause liver damage. If you have taken only one drink, like a glass of wine or a pint of beer without any food, then drink more water which will cause your kidneys to process the alcohol quickly out from the system, then you can take the medicine normally after 2 hrs. However, its better to wait for 24 hrs to be sure as there is no way to be sure after what time alcohol is out of you system before that. It varies from person to person.Advice: drink lots of water before you take the medicine, in case you had taken alcohol prior to that, when you feel sober and NOT hungover, take the medicine.
