I Am Confused About The Dark Knight Movie

Confused with ending of The Dark Knight?

Don't you remember what Gordon told his son? Batman is, "the hero that Gotham deserves, but not the one it needs, right now." Harvey Dent is the hero that Gotham needs.

Batman knows that the people of Gotham need a hero that they can look up to as an inspiration for Good. A hero who is NOT vigilante. A hero who works WITHIN the law. Harvey Dent was that Hero, and if they citizens of Gotham knew what Harvey Dent had become, then they would lose faith in the Law, and Joker would win. The only way to prevent Joker from winning was for Batman to take responsibility for what Harvey Dent had done, and the only way for people to believe that Batman had done those things was for the police to chase and hunt the Batman.
.

Confused about the Batman: The Dark Knight movie!!!?

1. The Dark Knight is a separate movie altogether. Just a different Batman story with no strings attached.

2. Lucius Fox thought that it was immoral to know what was going on in every corner of the city all the time. And it was definitely too much power for only one man to handle. He didn't like it because he thought it was immoral.

3. Not everyone had knowledge of him being turned bad. The only ones that knew were the Commissioner Gordon, a detective, a man at a bar, Batman, and the Joker.

4. He is taking the fall for Harvey Dent. He doesn't want to people to know Harvey was bad, because they need a hero to look up to. So he said he killed those five people, when it was really Harvey who did it.

5. I think you're referring to Rachel, Havey's fiance? The Joker gave him the right places, but said Dent was at 250 52nd Street, and Rachel was at Cicero, when really, Rachel was at 250 52nd Street, and Dent was at Cicero.

6. When Harvey Dent was burned, the coin was in his pocket, and one side became charred, making the two sides different-looking. Although both sides were heads, the charred side could be distinguished form the other side. So, Heads was heads, and Charred was tails.

7. He is saying that he is no longer a hero to the public, because now the cops are after him for all the illegal things he has done.

Is The Dark Knight the most overrated movie ever?

"The Dark Knight" has grossed over a billion dollars and has received praise from many top critics. This alone, however, does not make it a great movie. Having seen it myself, the storyline is handled with precision surpassing many other films of the same genre, and of course Heath Ledger did a terrific job. Personally, I think this film, unlike many others, actually lives up to the hype it was given. Watch it again, and maybe you will agree.

Was The Dark Knight confusing to anyone else but me?

The basic plot outline was straight-forward but there were a lot of confusing intricacies. Coming out of the movie I asked my friends the same question and they said they were not confused. I then asked them to explain the parts that confused parts but they couldn't. Most people simply bypass parts that are not readily relevant to the plot; others don't admit confusion for fear of looking stupid.

Bane's motivation in the Dark Knight Rises?

The mastermind behind the plan to destroy Gotham wasn't Bane - it was Talia, Ra's al Ghul's daughter. Since he devoted himself to protecting her when they were both stuck in the Pit, Bane carried out most of the dirty work himself.

The League of Shadows aren't really villains as much as they are anti-heroes; they do actually seek the best for the planet and for humanity as a whole, and the outcome of destroying Gotham completely would ultimately, let's face it, be a positive one, but their methods are extreme to the point where they become unjustifiable. But they do think they're doing the right thing.

The League's reasoning for destroying Gotham wasn't based solely on thugs and gangsters; it was also about corruption within the city's political side, as well as its law enforcement.

The question of why they didn't just detonate the bomb as soon as it was ready is a tricky one, because it is effectively just a plot hole, but you could argue that, a bit like the Joker, Bane and Talia wanted to prove just how little hope there really was for Gotham by showing what it was like underneath.

I just finished watching the Dark Knight, and I'm very confused....?

1. Harvey is basically maddened by the grief of Rachel's death & he thinks Gordon responsible for her death since he always kept on trusting GPD even though Harvey mentioned there was a snitch in GPD ever since Lau got the info of the raid, before it happened.
2. The arrested criminals were been transported away from Gotham in one secluded ferry, other had common citizens. Joker thought people would kill off the bad guys (like u think) & eventually prove they are also a killer if the time calls.
3. He was arrested & taken into custody. Nolan wanted Joker a cameo in TDKR, but Heath died & now he won't be.
4. The SWAT team were ready to shoot the masked civilians planted by joker, making the SWAT kill innocent men. But Batman figured it out & swapped away the SWAT team before they could harm them & sorted out the bad guys himself.

Why don't you like Rachel from the Dark Knight?

I've never seen a batman movie before so maybe there has been a better Rachel in a previous Batman than the actress who played her in the Dark Knight, but I am seeing alot of answers saying they don't like Rachel and glad she got [insert movie spoiler]....

I thought the actress did a good job--she wasn't over the top or anything...

Your thoughts on Rachel?
