Do you let your kids eat in the livingroom?
We have three kids. We try to keep the house pretty clean. When guests come and sit on the couch I would like them to feel comfortable sitting in a clean couch. I would hate for them to get up and see a brown stain on their nice clean white pants because one of the kids ate a brownie on the couch in the livingroom. We have a rule about eating at the table. Does anyone else?

Does anyone know if Kroehler brand furniture is well made? I am looking at a sofa they make at Value City.?
No, it is ECONOMICALLY made, but if you want something better you have to spend more money. Kroehler is made in North Carolina by AMERICANS so think about that when you buy. The frames are generally made of plywood, which is far better than the junk other cheap manufacturers use (MDF, particleboard, styrofoam), and use no-sag suspensions which are typical for most production upholstery. You can probably get at least five, maybe ten years out of a Kroehler sofa. Generally, if you have children, you get less use; if you choose a better fabric (or at least, one that makes sense for your particular situation--like dark colors for kids, or weaves that don't look like they'll fall apart) you get more use. Where can I get a nice looking, cheaper sofa slipcover for my couch?
If you go to stores like JCPenney and Dillards, then you will most definitely break your bank. They run about $100 - $200 a piece there. Even when they're on sale they run about $89. They're a little cheaper at Wal-Mart, being anywhere from $60 a piece on up. On sale you may be able to get them for like $50 a piece. Being an interior designer, I've done some rooms on very small budgets and one of the best places to get them for an extremely reasonable price is the clearance center on Sure Fit's website (http://www.surefit.net/shop/category/clearance/). Sure Fit is the leading brand in sofa slipcovers. They have some really reasonable prices when they have a big clearance going on. Places like Ross and Marshall's have them for extremely reasonable prices as well. I got a SET for a client for about $60 at Ross! That price was for the loveseat cover AND the sofa cover (I believe the loveseat cover was $24.99 and the sofa was $29.99). They weren't cheap covers either. They were Sure Fit brand. I mean look at how much they cost at regular price on the Sure Fit site (http://www.surefit.net). I assure you that the covers at Ross and Marshall's are very nice looking covers too. The only thing with getting them from these stores is that, at those prices, they go fast, but do not be discouraged! Keep checking back. Ask them approximately what day and time their stock truck brings them deliveries so that you can go to the store on that day and be one of the first to see the slipcover stock so that you'll have a better chance of getting a complete set. Also, the colors and patterns are limited. The set I got for my clients was a deep red and the covers were the kind that you tie on the side. They carry the stretch covers as well though. So just check out your local Ross or Marshall's and see what you can find. Oh, I forgot ... Big Lots carries them as well at around the same price as Ross and Marshall's. If after about a month or so you don't find anything at the stores I mentioned or in the clearance section of Sure Fit's site (give it some time; it took me two weeks to find the set for my clients) only then would I recommend trying the other stores, Wal-Mart, JCPenney, etc.
