Why aren't i receiving the e-mails from the midwestscouting group when i am still an active member?

You may have to check with the group's page to change your email options. From Yahoo's homepage, go to Groups and find the groups that you are a member of and are not receiving the messages. (You can see the most recent messages from here too - it may be that there simply hasn't been any activity in the group for a while. Or, you may have been removed from the group, in which case you'd have to contact the group owner for more assistance.) Once you select a group, look near the top for a link that says Edit Membership. Click that and check that (1) your email address is correct, and (2) you are receiving individual emails (where everyone's message gets sent to you) or a daily digest (where you get one email with a summary listing of everyone's posting). Sometimes, accounts are accidentally tweaked by group owners, which may mess up message delivery to some members, so it's worth looking into these options.

Unlikely, but your mail from your group may be redirected to the Bulk folder. Even if your Yahoo Bulk Mail filters are on, you should still be able to find any messages that were flagged as bulk in the Bulk folder (provided that your email settings are keeping them in this folder instead of deleting all of those messages). If you find a message in the Bulk folder, open it and click Not Spam near the top of the message. You could also set a filter (Options - Filters) so that all mail that comes from yahoogroups.com gets redirected to your Inbox (or whatever folder you designate).

If nothing works, you can always try to contact the group owner to see if there's been any weird issues preventing you from getting the messages. I'm sure the owner knows what's going on or will get it fixed if there's a widespread issue.

Group Emails are delayed ot not received by the members?

Update 4/6

@Nubia - LOL! I wish there were a way to get the headers of messages never received! But note I said "the longest-delayed" messages. Within the Received: fields of the message header are time stamps that may reveal where the delay occurred. This can help distinguish between an issue within Yahoo's servers or one at the members' email service. Levine's mail parser (cited below) will calculate the delays for you.

@Echo - When reports like this are widespread, and especially when they affect multiple receiving services I'd more suspect a problem within Yahoo's outbound farm than with greylisting or similar problems at the hand-off to members' email services.
-----
Yahoo Groups has over six hundred outbound mail servers, sometimes one or more of them go bad and then you get these situations where outbound messages are delayed. Because of the way messages are routed, messages bound for some members can be delayed while other members receive them promptly. This does crop up from time to time, and it usually is temporary (lasting a day or two before Yahoo finds and fixes the faulty server(s).

The best thing to report here would be the name of the group(s) affected. The best thing to report via the Get Help link would be the full headers from some of the longest-delayed messages.

My current yahoo mail id is @yahoo.co.in, how can I receive mail here if somewhere in important documents I have mentioned my mail id as @yahoo.com?

There is an all time big confusion on this due to yahoo policy.Anyhow currently Yahoo is accepting both user_name@yahoo.co.in and user_name@yahoo.com (mailto:user_name@yahoo.com) as userid for your yahoo account because basically it is considering just your user_name and ignores the domain while any user is trying to login but same is not the case for email exchange (which is big problem for users) ie yahoo is not accepting emails from both the email ids in the same inbox. Yahoo will accept email only from 1 (primary) email id in the inbox. It means that you can login to your yahoo account using any of the email id (@yahoo.com or @yahoo.co.in) as user id & your yahoo password. But you will receive email sent to your just one email id (which in your case is user_name@yahoo.co.in)Ideally speaking, either both the email id should be be treated as different yahoo accounts and should navigate to different inboxes or if they are treated as user id of same yahoo account then mails sent to both the email id should land in common inbox..Which is not happening and I think it is a big bug.No Doubt yahoo is on path of downfall. The dire consequences of this yahoo policy is that if you try to register for same user_name with Yahoo doamin, system will give error that user id already taken(which is taken by you only) but if anyone will send email on user_name@yahoo.com then you will not receive & he will get failure noticesOne of my relative was using 2 different yahoo accounts(and inboxes) with same id Eg x@yahoo.co.in and x@yahoo.com and then suddenly he could not access his yahoo[dot]com inbox becasue whenenver he tries login using yahoo[dot]com id, yahoo opens the yahoo[dot]co[dot}in account as it was primary account and he lost all his mails in yahoo[dot]com domain. So I will suggest to get the email id change in records and preferably get gmail/hotmail/or any other email id.I hope this helpedCheers !!

Hi,

Are you still experiencing this issue? With the roll out of the new Groups interface we have seen some intermittent issues. However, these issues should be resolved and you should currently be able to post messages to your group that include attachments.

Please let us know if you are continuing to receive this error message.
