I Am Looking For A Minecraft Server Set On Peaceful. As In A Server Without Mobs.

Do mobs spawn in peaceful mode in Minecraft?

Before I go on, I must point out I tend to use technical terms, so bear with me.First of all, note that there are three types of mob behaviors: Hostile, Neutral and Passive. If a mob has a hostile behavior, it will attack you if you are within its visibility range, or "sight range." We can say that, for example, Zombies, Skeletons, and Creepers have a hostile behavior. If a mob has a neutral behavior, it will not attack you until it is provoked (Thanks, Zach). We can say that Endermen, for instance, have a neutral behavior. Finally, if a mob has a passive behavior, it will not harm you, but if you attack it, it will try to run away. We can say that Chickens, and Sheep, for example, have a passive behavior. If you set the difficulty of your game to peaceful, only those with passive behaviors will stay spawned in your current world.Hope this answer helps!~Chris

How come my mob spawner is not working in minecraft?

check and see if the mob its suppose to spawn (pig by default) it may be disabled. target the spawner and type /spawner mobname <---- this is the command to change the type and if there are any mobs disabled you cant set it to that mob be sure that the mobs are on. it could also be a misspelling. try the /spawner mobname first and wait a few minutes
oh and the server may have spawners turned off

Can anything kill you in minecraft when you're on peaceful mode?

In peaceful absolutely NO enemies spawn, except for slimes and I don't really consider them enemies anyway. Even at night, nothing happens.

You CAN die, however, from these:
- Falling
- Fire (either one you set or lava)
- Drowning
- Iron Golem attack (yeah...)
- Wolves (they still spawn on peaceful)

I've died from falling off a cliff once, but as long as you take proper precautions you should be okay.

Why are mobs still spawning on my minecraft server?

I run a bukkit server. Mobs still spawn everywhere in spite of the fact that I have turned of all mob spawning in the server.properties file as well as in the bukkit properties file. I have the following plugins: craftbook, essentials, essentailsSpawn, herochat, multiverse core, openinv, permissionsEX, rpgitems, simple-autosave, survivalgames, tim (the enchanter), voxelport, walls, worldedit, and worldguard. Note that I have also set the mob spawning flag in worldguard to prevent mobs and it hasn't affected anything. Thank you for your help.

Are there Minecraft servers for people who like to play in a cooperative survival or hardcore mode?

They definitely exist. I play on a server called Enova. The IP is enova.gamename.net.They have plugins to compliment gameplay, but the style is overall what could be called “Civilization-based”. They focus a lot on letting players run the world - everything from government forms to the economy are controlled by players. There are jobs you can get, you can hire players as assassins, set up a black market for crimes, become a freedom fighter and protect the weak, etc.In the earlier days it was difficult to survive against the environment since there weren’t any established markets and the mobs were on the hardest difficulty. They’re working on adding custom mobs somehow, too.Right now the community isn’t too large: An average of 70 or so players that play regularly, with about 13 maximum online at any given time. It’s not hardcore, and at this point it’s pretty safe to live in a city if desired, but nevertheless, it’s still cooperative survival.

How do I get more players on my Minecraft server?

I generally agree with other answers - some reasonable and consistent ruleset + community + advertising is the way. I tried to play it for couple of minutes and I have these notes:- Abundance of messages, I really hate it and it distract from playing- Information usually does not make much sense. For example rules say what is wrong, but not what is right. There is the RPG plugins available, so maybe you want the RPG fans, but there is no info about that. Or maybe you hate them, but why the plugin then. - Inconsistency. There are the simple shops, but random wild teleportation points, but no monsters (easy/peaceful game mode?). So it's not clear if you want newbies or experienced players or which other kind of players. My advice:Think about the server concept. For example I like the survival part the most, but I miss monsters. I like the random wild locations, but it's not clear how can I interact with other players. Also, there is no residence plugin (or I could not find it) and it's not clear how you defend against griefers. I don't mind to mine for resources, but when the diamonds can be bought in a shop, then what is the whole point? With affordable admin shop you attract the lovers of easy game play, is it what you want? Tune down the self promo thing. If I play, I want to enjoy it. I will vote for you if I like the server. I don't care about some stupid reward thing. I also don't understand the command cool down timer. Last command I did was /spawn and there I had to wait two minutes (not 2 seconds as for teleport) for no reason on an empty server. You treat me as a bad person from the very beginning and I don't like it. I expect you to protect my gameplay not to protect the gameplay against me. About advertising and community - paid advertising is not wrong, but it's not the only way. Maybe start to invite people you know and tell them why they should join. Make the server working for them first. They can invite more people.

Can I make a Minecraft server for free?

I enjoy playing Minecraft with my boyfriend and we usually just play LAN however we obviously can't do that when he goes away. I was wondering if there was a way for us to make a server for free, just for us to play in the way we would a LAN world. (We live in Australia if that makes any difference)

Thanks! :)
