9. Locate and Double click "iPod Service"
10. Change Startup type from "disabled" to "automatic"
11. Click apply, then OK
12. Click "Start" the service

Re-boot, and hey presto everything works again

Why is my Apple ID not working on the iTunes store?

First check the password! If you know that without a doubt that the issue is not password related and you can log into the Apple ID website without a hitch; then consider that something else besides the password may be the causing the issue. I am assuming that you cannot log into iTunes on your Mac or PC?Let suppose that you have an issue unrelated to the password. Your installation of iTunes could be a factor. if you are on a PC, check to ensure that antivirus or firewall programs are not blocking iTunes access to port 443. Can you log into iTunes from a 2nd device or another user acct? If so you installation may be corrupt. If you encounter identical issues and you are using a Mac, then ensure that you are up to date with OS updates, and that you do not have redundant key-chain entries. If you have a Mac, you might try giving Apple Care a call. The last time I checked iCloud/Apple ID issues are supported at no cost to the user.  If you call Apple Care Support and the Tier 1 rep attempts to charge you a fee, ask them to get an exception from senior level support.Hope this helps!

Thanks for the A2A.This is not typically an error message - it is normal to get when you first are signing up to use an Apple ID on either iTunes or the App Store. The two of those work together, so once you have set up your Apple ID for one it will work in both of them, however they themselves are separate from other services.When you create an Apple ID, you can either create it through the My Apple ID website or through one of various services offered by Apple such as iCloud or iTunes. When you make it through the My Apple ID website, it is a basic account with a screenname and that's it. When you make it through a service, it automatically signs you up for that one service. Either way, if you are going to use other services with your Apple ID, you will need to sign into them and maybe go through process steps there to set it up.So, in this case you will want to set up the Apple ID as requested by iTunes. It will ask for your information and typically also a method of payment as verification that you are able to make purchases. You can remove any payment info you enter after going through the process if you are not planning to use the App Store or iTunes for paid purchases and it will drop from your account. If you are finding it difficult to complete on an iOS device, I recommend using the iTunes program on a computer. Then when you log in on your device to get stuff, the process will be smoother and not ask you to set up the Apple ID.If you have questions about how to do any of this, feel free to respond in a comment and I'll help with what I can.The only time at which this would be an error message is if you're using an Apple ID you know you have set up for the iTunes store in the past. Can't log into iTunes, error 0x80092013? Please help, best answer!?

Every time I try to log into iTunes, I get this error message:

"We could not complete your iTunes store request. An unknown error has occurred (0x80092013).

What happens when you put your Apple ID in another phone? It becomes your account info, some people have different ID's for iTunes and for iCloud/MobileMe/Mac.com. If you have different ones you will be able to log into them separately or if the same you still log into them separately.

If you are using the iTunes/App Stores login credentials then your email and iCloud will not be affected without going to that section of the Settings App and inputing your login.

I am unable to locate the exact quote from Apple but I am pretty sure there is a limit to how many times in a certain period of time you can log in and out of an Apple ID on a device, due to licensing issues with providers.

Attached is the process for changing the login info for an iOS device.

Remember the device will have some access to your accounts and it is not suggested to use your ID on someone else's devices. They will still need your password to install apps and buy media content. In my experience you do not need the password if you are updating or downloading previously purchased content. I can not speak to what your individual experience will be.

You can’t sign in because either your Apple ID or your password are wrong — or at least Apple thinks they are wrong, and since they are the one’s who control access to your account, it really doesn’t matter if you think they are right or not.Go to Recover Your Apple ID and follow the instructions there.
