I Can Dislocate My Shoulder

I can dislocate my own shoulder..?

I can dislocate my schoulder by myself. As in, I can move my shoulder and arm in such a way that the shoulder pops out of its socket and then I can move it back and forth with only a slight movement of my arm. I can do this whenever I want and it always goes back right away. It is usually absolutely without pain (unless I do it way too much or if it goes out too far-- so far though, it has always found its way back into the socket).

The same is with my hip.. but it's harder to dislocate than the shoulder.

Is this bad? Can there be any possible consequences for this in the future or will this do any harm to me? I know I shold try to resist doing it, and I usually don't do it continuously or purposely (sometimes my mind just tracks off), but how should I stop doing it? And what are the disadvantages of doing it? (Could it one day actually dislocate my shoulder or require me to have surgery, etc.)?

Thanks!

How can you tell if your shoulder is dislocated?

Signs and indications of shoulder separation damage include the following given by Orthopedists in BTM Layout Bangalore :1. Extraordinary shoulder torment: Severe agony in the shoulder joint alongside powerlessness to uninhibitedly move the shoulder is a certain flame indication of a disengaged shoulder.2. Obvious disfigurement: If the shoulder joint looks bent, contorted, or horribly flabby, it is very sure that the shoulder has been separated.3. Delicate and crude to the touch: When contacted from the side, if the shoulder feels very soft and you can't feel the bone hidden it, a shoulder disengagement damage is certainly the purpose for it.4. Deadness and shortcoming: An insensible inclination in the shoulder, however, all through the influenced upper arm is generally a sign that the shoulder has been disjointed.5. Swelling/wounding: This doesn't generally happen, particularly if the separation is a minor one; be that as it may, serious swelling and wounding of the shoulder, particularly on the off chance that you have as of late endured a tremendous effect to it, is an ensured indication of a disjointed shoulder.

I can dislocate my shoulder ?

You probably have a subluxating shoulder, meaning you can pop it out and pop it back in relatively painlessly. It's common at the shoulders, knees, fingers, and elbows. A lot of people can do it, so if that's what you have then you're fine. :)

What are some ways you can dislocate your shoulder?

As others have told you, most commonly you strike your hand while it is extended beyond the shoulder. Ina fall, or an attempt to avoid a fall. You can also have someone dislocate it for you, by grabbing your wrist and throwing you over his shoulder. This is on my mind right now, because suddenly, without warning or incident, the pain of a dislocated shoulder over 50 years ago has returned. The shoulder has never bothered me since a month after it happened. X-ray examination of the shoulder revealed “a very old injury, well healed.” Shoot, I could have told them that, in fact, I did.How did I dislocate the shoulder? By a series of very stupid mistakes, any one of which should have killed me, when I went skydiving in New Mexico. At the climax of the jump, attempting to avoid landing in a cholla - Wiktionary (look at the picture for understanding), I hit the ground left hand first, clutching a handful of riser, and praying to a deity out loud. (As in “Oh God! NO!”).I don’t know if it hurt less than landing in the cactus, or not. As I was flopping around, holding my shoulder, my jumping partner, (who happened to be a licensed EMT) came over gently grabbed my wrist, said “Let me take a look at your arm.” He then popped my shoulder back into the socket with an expert twist. My scream was probably heard for 20 miles (I had been manfully silent up to that point, except for a few expletives (deleted). When my vision cleared, the pain was hardly noticeable. Later, I drove 40 miles back to Albuquerque, and went to the doctor. He checked it out, said “Nothing I can do that hasn’t been done.” Gave me a sling, and an Advil. As far as dislocating a shoulder goes, my advice is don’t do it. Unfortunately, you almost never know you are doing it, until it’s done.

I Can Purposely Dislocate My Shoulder, Is That Bad?

You have indeed a multidirecctional and atraumatic isntability. It is better not to keep going with the disocation. In any shouder dislocation there i a bony and capular damage of the estruture. To avoid that the vest option is surgery with a well trained surgen in shoulder

I would suggest to star wih a program where you can adjust the different Roadmaps according to your main sympton (pain, wekness, or Oian)

Could you dislocate your shoulder while punching?

The real answer is Yes! You CAN dislocate your shoulder while punching (especially a hook punch), and having a weakened shoulder from previous dislocation makes you more prone to a future dislocation - this is proven fact. I'm a grad student in sports medicine and also did a few years of martial arts training (Kung Fu), and we did a lot of circular punching, and I was always nervous of this too, although I never had a shoulder injury like yours. Did you tear your rotator cuff with the dislocation? Why are you getting surgery this long after - are you sure its necessary? Have you been rehabilitating it with a specialist? There are a lot of strengthening exercises I could recommend to you, or any trainer could for that matter, especially with exercise tubes/straps.

How could I purposely dislocate my shoulder?

Oouch, why would you want too?
Its basically when the ball joint pops out of its socket, sometimes it can happen if say for example youre falling off a roof or a tree branch and youre holding on wiht one arm as you fall and it rips out of its socket. But man oh man its usre does hurt and you risk tearing muscles flesh etc not safe definetly dangerous and yes its hurts

What does it feel like to dislocate your shoulder?

What does it feel like to dislocate your shoulder?Strangely painless for me.I was playing soccer in high school as a goalie. I got hit in the arm with a shot, hyperextended my left arm, turned around, and fell on it. I dislocated my shoulder posteriorly. I knew that it was out of the socket, but I didn't feel anything. I was just lying on the floor paralyzed in that arm. The trainer then showed up to splint me, reduced it (accidentally), and sent me to the ER.The reduction was beyond painful, but I didn't feel much pain after that until the next morning. Adrenaline is a crazy thing.

How to intentionally dislocate my shoulder?

You usually dislocate your shoulder by a combination of a sudden jerk and awkward arm position (see below) which causes the ball at the top of your humorous to slip out of the shoulder socket. It almost always slips over the bottom lip of the shoulder socket so that the ball submarines down toward the armpit while the shoulder blade gets pushed up a bit. The dislocation involves a fair amount of stretching, ripping, and detaching in the large quantity of soft tissue which surrounds the joint. The muscles which surround the joint will go into spasm immediately. It turns out they're pretty strong. The spasm causes much of the pain, and makes the relocation more difficult. Try to relax and not move. Any movement will re-tense things up which is no help.

It's pretty obvious when your shoulder is dislocated. Your shoulder motion will feel "wrong". You will be in a lot of pain. The whole shoulder ball will be in spasm. You will have difficulty raising the arm. The shoulder will look cleary wrong relative to the other shoulder. It's also possible that you have a broken collarbone which on the whole is a more common injury. Most collarbone breaks occur from falling. In that case, you will have problems raising your arm, but the shoulder may not look as misshapen as for a dislocation.

Relocation will be equally obvious. It will be loud. It will feel and outwardly look much better. Philispohically, if happiness derives from change in your situation instead of the absolute quality of your situation, then you will experience no greater happiness in your lifetime the than the moment of transition from dislocated to back-in-the-socket.

Always check for a pulse in the hand of the affected arm. Compare pressing in the fingernails of both hands-- they should return to pink. If there is no pulse or the hand feels numb, you must get it taken care of immediately. You have a few hours before serious complications set in.

How do I safely dislocate my shoulder and relocate it?

DON'T.Even if you 'learned' this 'skill' it would give you tons of more trouble than benefits, unless you plan on making a daily living out dislocating it as part of an act.You see, the shoulder joint is arguably the most mobile yet unstable joint in the body.  Therefore it relies greatly on soft tissue support.  Once you dislocated it it will become much more likely to do so in the future, with great pain and suffering, and typically at the worst possible time (sports, camping, etc), requiring emergency treatment and ruining of plans all around.Recurrent dislocation can lead to nerve and vessel injury as well as further soft tissue injury requiring surgery and prolonged physical rehabilitation to strengthen all the stretched out tissue in the joint.  Even then, long-term disability is a possibility. So here's an alternative plan:Get fit and strongDo yoga and become as flexible (yet strong!) as possibleStay out of trouble with the law: if you are ever handcuffed then the cuffs will be the least of your troubles.  An attempt to escape would probably get you shot anyway.Stay out of trouble with criminals who would unlawfully restrain you with cuffs... Because if gangsters cuff you... The cuffs will be the least of your troubles! There hasn't been anything cool about Mel Gibson for about a decade.
