I Collapsed This Morning For The Third Time .

If a person collapses into the floor, what is the first thing to do?

First, make sure the surrounding area is safe for you. Why did this person fall on the floor? Is it some sort of medical emergency or was he shot? Electrocuted? Even pretending in order to harm someone? Many things could be the reason.. therefore, make sure you do not become a victim yourself. For this time let’s say this person had a heart attack or passed out. Yell out at him, Sir (or Madam) are you ok? If no response, call 911 from you cell phone or designate someone to call 911. Next, check to see if this person is breathing. If he is, turn him on his left side, right knee bent towards his stomach and his head laying on his left arm. This is called the recovery position. Stay with this person until help arrives. If the person is not breathing, you can begin rescue breathing. If he does not have a pulse, you can begin chest compressions. If this person is in cardiac arrest you do not have to do the rescue breathing. We are teaching “Hands Only CPR” which is just as it says, hands only. Push hard and fast in the center of the chest 100–120 beats per minute. There are a few songs out there you can do compresses to the beat of the music. Stayin’ Alive by the Bee Gees is the most popular. There are also videos to show how to do correct CPR. An important thing to remember is that immediate and correct CPR can double or even triple a person’s chance of survival. If there is an AED in the area follow the prompts in case this person has a shockable rhythm. It will let you know

How could both the twin towers collapse?

So recently I've been searching around on the internet about 911. I cant seem to fully understand why and how the towers collapsed from just a single plane hitting each tower... both planes strike at the top part of the towers, so how on earth does a building collapse from that ? the bottom of the towers weren't affected in anyway. surly everyone agrees that something else obvs happened to make the towers collapse...

thoughts and ideas of how ??

Lung collapsed? Pain diminished with percocet.. What does this mean?

This is a little weird of me to ask being that I've had 2 lung collapses in the past 5 months but with each collapse, the pain lessens.. I've never fully recovered from the initial lung collapse but today the pain felt a little different. The catch this 3rd possible time around is that when I take a percocet, the pain diminishes (it doesn't completely go away). If that happens, does it mean that my lung is not collapsed?
Don't worry guys, I will go to the hospital tomorrow morning if it doesn't get better but I'm just curious and anxious right now.
The pain feels like a soreness when I breathe in, but then again if I press my left breast, it is a little sore. Other than that, I'm not coughing (although that was never a symptom of my past collapses), and my back is a little sore

Collapses / losing consciousness during / after urinating?

Fainting while you pee is called micturition syncope. This, er, actually translates to 'fainting while you pee', but if you have the Latin term it'll make it easier to search for more about the condition. It also means it's common enough to have a medical term.

http://www.patient.co.uk/showdoc/4000073... is full of technical talk about the symptom, but translated it says, roughly:

Anyone getting this should be monitored, in case there is a heart problem or other underlying problem. So he does need to see a doctor. However, it's entirely possible that he will just be stuck with fainting when he pees (called benign micturition syncope and meaning 'he faints when he pees but it won't kill him), in which case the only course is to take precautions such as making sure he's not going to fall onto anything sharp and not locking the bathroom door.

My mare falls Asleep, and nearly Collapses, When I Tack her up?

DISCLAIMER:
She is NOT trying to get out of working!
She's an off-the-track thoroughbred mare, I've had her for about 8 months, and she /really/ likes and trusts me. I worked on retraining her for the first 4 months I had her, then she had some lameness issues and I haven't been able to ride her for about 4 months. Just this past week started her undersaddle again.
I've had 4 short "play" rides with her so far, to start getting her back strength up.

It only happens after I put her saddle and girth on (and I don't girth it up all at once---I keep it pretty loose until just before mounting).
So she starts looking VERY sleepy. I figured I could just let her nap a bit, until she started falling down!
Her back legs would start to buckle, and if I didn't pull on the crosstie to wake her up, her knees would start buckling.
But...when I would "wake her up" she doesn't really wake up. She'd go right back to falling down again! No matter what I did: patting the side of her head, rubbing her neck or forehead, moving her head around---I even uncrosstied her and walked her around, and as soon as I clipped her back up, she started to do it again.
(She hasn't actually fallen down yet, I keep a CLOSE eye on her after putting the saddle on.)
As soon as I put on her bridle, it takes her a minute to wake up, but she walks off fine, and she's been incredible in the rides.

You can see her do it once here (she actually does it twice, but I don't have the camera pointed at her the second time?)

Western society collapse: Disturbing yet a huge relief?

The dream may have been reflecting your own desire to escape the rat race, which is a noble desire to say the least. I don't personnally believe your dream was a premonition that will affect the world at large, but I do believe society in it's current form will fall and has to fall because something has got to give, very few people in our society are truly happy, how can anyone be happy with all the pressure it brings us...our spirits are being slowly crushed...we don't even know our true selves anymore because of distractions like the seemingly omnipotent media, money seeking, the need for social acceptance in a judgemental and competive enviroment and love/sex needs, you name it.

I believe Western civilisation is on it's way out, it's just a matter of wether we collectively get through the collapse and create something better or end up in a nuclear wasteland eating rats, the latter is probably what scares you, I know it scares me.

Sweet dreams.

Did they show footage of the 2nd tower falling the day after 9/11?

When they were filming the smoke coming from the first tower (Everyone thought the first plan crash was an accident) the second plane crashed into the second tower (live TV). They were reporting it live on tv. Yes we saw the second tower fall the same day we saw the second plane crash into the second tower (9/11 2001). We saw the first tower fall as well.

Edit: It wasn't the next day, we saw it the very same day, which was 9/11/2001.

What happens to ovum after 3 days after ovulation? It's considered fertile only 2-3 days after ovulation (and 5 days before). Is it already dead on the 3rd days after ovulation?

The egg is dead within 24 hours after ovulation. It is not fertile for five days before ovulation. What can happen during those five days is that any sperm that reach your tubes can live there for that long, waiting for an egg to pass by, so unprotected sex can lead to pregnancy. The egg has not even left the ovary yet.The egg does not disappear, however. It remains in your tube for the same length of time a live egg would, since it is the tube that is carrying the egg toward the uterus. Once the egg is inside the uterus, it stays there for several days, fertilized or not. If it has not been fertilized, it is long dead. If it has been fertilized, the cells are actively dividing, and the pre-embryo will implant itself into the wall of the uterus where it makes contact. Meanwhile, your ovary is pumping out large amounts of progesterone into your bloodstream, stabilizing the uterine lining and preventing it from sloughing off, which would be your period. It is doing this under the influence of a hormone known as LH, or Luteinizing Hormone, produced by your pituitary gland.Once the fertilized egg implants, it begins to produce hCG almost immediately. The hormone is similar to LH, and is recognized by your body that way. The hCG produced continues to stimulate progesterone production by the ovary, and the endometrium does not slough off. The pregnancy is safe.Without an implanted egg, there is no hCG. Eventually the ovarian progesterone production begins to wane, and your uterus releases its endometrium and begins to contract. This expels the endometrium, along with the unfertilized egg. It is in there, probably degraded somewhat, and way too small to see, but is comes out with your period.
