Of course it is. Each person has the right to PRIVACY!! This is America. How do we know you are not some perv filiming little kids, following them home etc... What if I am in Wal-Mart buying personal items, you have me on film what you going to do with that?? What if I am purchasing a controversial book? movie? those things are all private. What if you MAKE a movie, make lot's of $$$ and how can I make my claim to that?? You see?? If you want to film. You ask PERMISSION. You make up a release statement. To ensure that all parties are aware of everything you will be doing with that footage. It is illegal because you have invaded their privacy, once YOU were made aware of their CHOICE Not to be filmed!! Then you simply turn the camera off!! and while you're at it...LEAVE THE PREMISES. Hassle the people outside, and you better believe the police will be called.
Can a company deny the relieving letter if the employee has resigned and served the notice period as per the contract?
This will only happen in India and (1) When you have given a resignation letter you should make 2 copies and give one and get the acknowledgement on the another one. (2) They can -till they have shown certain way of teaching a lesson. Let's see the other ways.. 1. Do you have copy of your resignation letter? If not make one and of the same date and if you have sent it through the mail then there must be a acknowledgement from them you get that print out keep it with you. If not tomorrow morning you send email ( very politely) that you have submitted your resignation on so and so date and you would like to know the status of it. ( whether accepted or pending or not accepted etc) say only status. And then start reminding them by phone or in person every alternative day. once you got the acknowledgement and reason for dealy etc take a print out and keep it with you.Now you write a nice polite letter to your HR Manager from where you got the offer. explaining the situations and attaching the resignation letter you sent to them 15 / 20 days back - and inform them ( never blame the present employer) that " I am afraid that the management is not happy about my resignation and may delay the approval of it. As I have the salary certificate and resignation letter copy with me - will it be sufficient for you to accept me and issue me the appointment letter? If they say yes.. then you must be careful to write a letters informing the present co that : with reference to my letters where in I requested you to relieve me as early as possible and I till now even after 25 days neither I received any communication or information about the status of my resignation letter. I would like to inform you I will not be attending the office from ( give a date) so I request you to make arrangements to relieve me by taking over the papers, and other files which I am presently handling now as soon as possible or designate some one so I can handover the things to him. Still if these people are playing tricks - Issue another letter after 3 days - making it as reminder - the plan is to create a record of sorts.. - like you resigned long back, on your own, you need to handover few things ( tomorow they should not give a police complaint about that some thing was lost etc) and the HR managers should know that you are creating a record. Still these people are adamant - then you need to consult a lawyer.

Yes, that could be an example. You are right about the denial thing, it is a way to cope when your mind can't cope with a drama or trauma. So for example if a girl was molested or raped, and they didn't deal with the trauma, they often gain a ton of weight. They gain weight to make themselves look fat and ugly so that in their mind another man will never want them and so they won't have to worry about getting raped again. They didn't deal with their trauma, but in their mind, with the weight gain, they think they won't have to deal with another sexual assault. That is how you can usually tell if a girl has been raped or molested,....they were a normal size prior to the rape, and then double in weight after the trauma. Another example would be a man who goes to work and tells everyone he is great, his grandchildren are great, all A students, all active in sports, all the kids are going off to college. That is a denial he has created in order to cope with his world. He lives in a denial in order to cope with the reality of his life. So he pretends that his life is perfect and he is happy and everything is great, when the reality is that his grandchildren have all run away from home at least once, they have all been held back a grade, at least once, they are into drugs and alcohol, and none of them have graduated high school, and none of them will go to college. So he has created his fantasy in order to cope with the reality of life. A girl might live in a fairy tale world, telling others how great her mother is because it is her minds way of coping with reality. She honestly believes in her mind that her mother was a great mother, and if she took a lie detector test, she would pass it, because her version of the truth is what she honestly believes. The "real truth" is that her mother was not a good mother, was a drug addict and alcoholic. They create a version of the "truth" in order to cope, a version of the 'truth' that they believe or have to believe, but it is not the "real truth"
My ex filed a restraining order on me yet continues to contact me...what can I do?
If she has an RO on you and you violate it by having any contact with her whatsoever, you can go to jail. Courts realized a long time ago that female victims (while not the best choice) often return to their abusers so all RO's have a clause now that protects the victim from prosecution if they try to contact the person they have the order against. If you read your RO and the fine print it will tell you this. It is *your* responsibility to avoid her and comply by the order. She can have you arrested at any time for what you've done so far. I suggest you deny having anything to do with her since the order went into effect, and if she calls or texts you ignore her. If she comes to your house or place of business, call the police and report that *she* sought you out and not the other way around. In the meantime, make sure you hang out with friends or family who can vouch for your whereabouts and serve as witnesses on your behalf. In order to have you arrested for violation she must prove that you violated the order. If you sent texts, called her, or emailed her, you should assume she kept them and tell the truth if confronted by police. You don't want to get caught lying. She can be charged with harassment and you can obtain an RO against her but you have to *not respond* in any way to her attempts to contact you. Don't even tell her you can't talk to her anymore because you'd be violating her RO against you.
What do I do after filing for child support if baby daddy is threatening to kill me if I file?
Well I have two kids with this boy(he s 32 but acts 15)I knew he was a deadbeat after the first child but I was blinded by so called love and had a second one.trust me i know that wasn t smart..i never ask him for anything because I am the type of person that I go ahead and take care of my kids with whatever I have.but I still need help. When I ask him to buy diapers after months of me buying diapers he gets angry and calls me a bum.and whatever else he can think of.recently he was chasing me with a gun and said he was gonna put a bullet in my head.just because i took his kid to his house when he refused to get the kid when he was supposed to.he came to my house the next day and chased me with a hammer while saying he ll kill me.i filed a police report. I took him off child support before because he promised to help and that s all I need.its not about collecting child support checks for me. But he doesn t help at all when asked he gets an attitude and says i shouldnt have had them if i cant handle it.i filed again right after the incident.and he threatened to kill me if I put him on child support. But I am tired of doing it all by myself.how do I protect my self.he always says he ll put a bullet in me when things are not going his way.after chasing me with a gun.am starting to fear for my life and safety.but I need him to help with our children
Help with an abusive stepfather and a mother in denial?
There was a time where me and my stpedad actually got along when i was young. but once i hit puberty, he started changing. He started drinking more and became more strict. Most of the time when him and my mom argues, it was over me and the way he was treating me. They would actually get in fist fights when i was younger and then my mom would take me and my little sis to our grandmas house till things blew over. but we always went back to him. i hate my stepdad because his way of controlling me is by getting in my face and yelling and when i try to say something to him, he will smack me hard across my mouth. I suffer from serious depression and use to cut from the physical and emotional abuse i deal with. I feel my mom has chosen him over me, even though she knows his "parenting techniques" I think it all started when his brother died in a car wreck and that his other two daughters lived with their mother and never wanted to come see him but every other weekend.
