I Found A Presidential Dollar With The Lettering On The Edge Over Written It Looks Like Twice Is

What is the value of a 1776-1976 quarter dollar?

it depends on the exact condition of your coin from poor, fair, good, excellent etc.there are several grades to determine a coins worth and you would need to have it assessed to find out its current value.some stamping are more valuable than others but only a good coin shop/collector/appraiser could accurately answer this accurately.you could probably get a rough idea from google.

How Much Is A 1776-1976 Silver Dollar worth?

The most important thing is look on the mint mark of the Ike dollar. If it has none or is a d, it's not made out of silver it's just clad like a modern quarter. If there is a s mint mark there is like a 30% change of it being silver. Look at the edges of the coin. If there is a copper color as part of the edge it's not silver. If the edge is silver and and a darker grey you have a silver clad Ike dollar that is 40% silver. The p and d are worth a dollar or maybe a tiny bit more like $1.20. Most coin shops will only give you $1 for it. If it a s it was a special coin but only worth significantly more if it's silver. If it's silver maybe around $10.

What does it feel like to be an unemployed PhD?

When I was graduating, finding a job was hard.Having a PhD puts tremendous employment pressure on you. Most of it is due to the notion that as a PhD you *must* go into research in that area, else what’s the point? This is what screws most PhDs. There simply are not enough research jobs to absorb all PhDs. Similarly, most companies do not understand the value and skills a PhD can bring to the company. My own experience trying to find a job taught me that as a PhD you need to work at least twice as hard as those without a PhD to even get people to have an initial conversation with you. I started looking for jobs over a year before I graduated. I reached out to at least 10 people per company that I felt was interesting and I may want to work at, using friends, family, alumni databases and my career office as resources to do so. That was the only way companies would even talk to me.It is very frustrating when you know you have skills to bring to the company, and they keep asking ‘so why aren’t you going into academia?’ You really need to have a clear answer. One that you trial with people outside academia, and see if they can understand that story. Without a clear story for why you aren’t doing what everyone thinks you should do, you are dead in the water. That said, there is an amazing opportunity for someone to bridge the gap between skilled, hard-working PhDs and the need companies have for great employees. I hope someone can figure it out.
