I Got Hired But I Am Confused Help

Which job do I take I am very confused please help!?

Let me start out with stating that I currently work two jobs. I work with the mentally handicapped at one, and stock Pepsi as my main job. Before stocking Pepsi I worked with the handicapped full time but now only a couple days a week. I put in for a promotion at the company working with the mentally handicapped and was offered the position of manager of my group home that I have been working at. I put in my two weeks at Pepsi yesterday. However today my boss called his bosses trying to get me more money and told me that he could get me raised up to 13 dollars an hour if I stay. It has always been a passion of mine to prove myself in the workplace, by leading my own team. On one hand I do love working for Pepsi, but there is really no way that I can move up from the position I am in, to do so would take at least a decade, with how our team is currently laid out, but it made me sad to give my two weeks none the less. Am I making the right decision by taking this position and quitting Pepsi? I have never had a boss fight to keep me. I just want an outsiders idea and what you would do if you were me. Thanks in advance!

Im 18 and confused about what career path to take!!! help!?

some ideas I suggest to people are:
make a list of things you do that are relaxing to you--these are your hobbies keep these for things to do off work
Make a list of things you are good at:
make a list of things you enjoy doing:
make list of things you are not good at or frustrate you:
Make a list of things you hate doing:
now on these lists wring everything not just what you think are job related. you will be surprised what kinds of things you have to deal with on the job.
This should help you narrow down what kind of career path you should follow. If you are not good at math then you shouldn't work with medications or computer programming
if you are enjoy talking to people but hate working outside consider a job in Human Services
and so on...
brainstorming is a great way to get all the stuff bouncing around in your head out to paper.

The second job being fired from lately, I am confused?

I got a job offer by a company that an agency sent me to do an interview with. I was there for four days and I got fired today.

When I am new to a job, I like to ask questions if I am confused, I don't like making mistakes. My job was front desk, taking orders for sales and I was also helping out other workers with their job responsibilities as well.

I took a lot of orders over the phone but when I get stuck like card payment not going through or the customer is not sure which model to choose, I ask the staff for help.

The last client I had, she was making orders for two different address, the first order went in fine but the second order, her card got declined and I did not know what to do so I ask the staff for help and that was the last call before I left the job.

The staff was super friendly and nice to me, saying Have a good weekend and even one of the staff was talking about how it took her years to understand these different types of models.

I got a message after I came home from the agency telling me that the company thought I was not the best fit for the position and they don't want me coming to work or even contacting their company.

I am confused on what happened. Why they are changing face like that? why they did not tell me to my face? what is with the two faced of being super friendly and saying don't contact them again.

Have a job application for wendy's but im confused ! help !!!?

I live in Georgia too.

First of all, you should have a work permit before you even apply, you can pick one up at your school. Second, you can't work there until you are 16 years old. It's not a state policy, it's a company policy, and most places won't even consider you unless you are 16.
But you CAN work at markets like Publix and Kroger as a bagger or cart pusher.

But for future reference, Position Applying For is the job you want. Do a little research on the company's website. For a fast food restaurant, it would probably be a team member, cashier, or a cook. For a market, like I suggested, it would be something like a bagger, cashier, cart pusher, stocker, team member, something of that nature.

Date Available is when you want to start working. If you want to start immediately, just put the date you turn the application in. If you want to wait a few weeks, just put that date.

In the education section, put "Some High School", because you have only completed your freshman year.

Employment history you can put N/A because you have never held a job.

Don't put family members for references, but put anyone that is a good family friend, a coach, a teacher, as long as you can provide a name, phone number, and email address.

If you were employed under another name, they are asking if you had a name change and worked with that name.

For the days+hours, I would put any day, any time but when you turn it in you should talk to the manager about school times and other activities.

USPS Job Status, Went from Pre-Screening to Hiring list, confused...?

I can't help too much. Only let you know that you are not alone in your confusion. I have applied for several different jobs in my area. I have taken 2 separate drug tests and consented to 2 background checks. I have another round of that to take care of monday and I've been asked to 2 interviews for different positions than what I've already tested for. One interview is a 2.5 hour drive from here when the post office it's for is only 20 minutes from my house. The ones I've taken the drug tests for say prescreening on the site and the 2 of them I have interviews for (and others I've heard nothing about) say hiring list..

Hired But Got Job Rejection Email?

Hey everyone, I was wondering if you could help me.

Just last Wednesday I got called in for a job interview at Academy. I did so great that the manager hire me on the spot. He told me that someone would be calling me in for orientation, and to get direct deposit information ready. He also asked me what shirt size I wear for my shirt uniform and what would I like on my name tag. He also told me to expect an email that would request to do a background check on me. The next day after the interview, I got the email and accepted to do the background check.
I know I have a clean record so I know I got the job either way and was just now awaiting for orientation call.

But this morning, I got an email from Academy saying simply, "Thank you for your interest in the position......After reviewing all applicants, we narrowed it down to those that best fit the job requirements. At this time we have chosen to move foward with other candidates. " (They can't even spell FORWARD right.)

I was shocked and went into a state of confusion. I called the store where I was supposedly hired at and asked them why I got the email. The lady told me that the background check is still pending. I then told her about the email I got and asked her if it was a mistake and she said, "They just don't send that for no reason. It probably means that the headquarters have already made their decision." I asked her if I got the job then then she said ,"As far as I know, no. But we have to wait and see what headquarters say."

I am really confused here. I been told I been hired but now an email said no I haven't. Has this ever happened to anyone? Could this be a mistake? Can they do this?
