I Have A 98 Civic And Want A Audio System A Little Better Than The Stock. But I

Can I burn an audio CD on a DVD-R and have it behave as a CD-R so I can play it in all cars and players?

You're solving the problem the wrong way. A DVD is physically different than a CD, so it will not play in a CD player. While a DVD-audio format exists, very few players will play it, especially in cars. So forget DVDs.A better solution is to convert the audio into MP3 format and burn the MP3 files on to a CD-R formatted as a DATA CD. Most more modern car CD players will play MP3 DATA CDs. The 80 minute limit is only for CD-DA "Compact Disc" audio. You can easily fit 4 to 12 hours of MP3 audio on a CD, depending on the audio quality selected. An even better solution is to place those files on an MP3 player with flash storage, like most smartphones or inexpensive digital audio players, and play that through aux or Bluetooth.

What are some ways to make my honda civic faster?

I've got a 93'' Honda civic DX 2 door coupe. I've had it for a while and i've beaten a few old beaters off the line but i want MOREEEEE. My life long goal is to blow the doors off the little pussy A** kid in the brand new mustang that his parents gave him -_- My car already has a cold air intake and a bad A** exhaust on it but i need more ways to get extra power and acceleration off the line.

Im thinking about chipping it and getting aftermarket headers for it. Will that be enough?
THANKS FOR YOUR HELP!!!

98 Honda civic ex high output alternator.?

Add another battery for increased current the amp needs. You want 2.1 kilowatts out the amp, you need 2.1 kilowatts to feed the amp. The alternator is just for charging batteries, not running accessories. You might need a stronger alternator too if the stock one can't keep up with the additional batteries. Look into having the stock alternator rebuilt for higher output. Call an alternator repair shop.

How do you reset a Honda Accord radio that says Error E?

Disconnect Battery or Pull, and Reinstall Radio Fuse. This will stop the radio from showing the code error. At this point with the Radio Code from the dealer, the radio will unlock. Careful, you only get three ⚟ tries. Don't lose the code. The dealer needs your Radio Serial number. Get this by pressing and holding “1” & “6” together with the radio off. When one & six are being held, press the power button. The S/N:xxxxxxxx should display. Write down the serial number, and show it to a Honda Dealer [speak with service] . They can give you the code once you provide identification.

I had new speaker and amp installed and now car won't start! Can this be caused by bad installation?

Oh these are always fun. Though I can't give you a diagnosis over email, I can tell you it is 100% possible to kill a car with a stereo installation.  Your amplifier needs a signal to turn on or it will stay on always and kill your battery. Stereo install guys turn on the car and stab a test light into random wires looking for one powered only when the car is turned on. Unfortunately they have been known to splice into a CAN data bus. The CAN network in charge of communication for your security and locking could be disabled keeping your key from being authorized. Or the CAN network for your chassis systems can be shut down that deals with communication for your engine, transmission, and typically traction control. A CAN network is typically a 5 volt system but it suplies power in micro amps as it is only used for communication and not supplying a load such as switching a relay, lighting a bulb, or spinning a motor. Splicing into these to supply the relay to turn on the amp effectively grounds the circuit and does not allow for the digital signal to propogate. Sometimes it easier and they just blew a fuse while poking around with a test light, or shorted a harness by running a screw through it while mounting components. Had a lowjack installer put a screw through a floorboard and into a fuel tank once, cause a check engine light due to an emissions test, luckily it didn't burn down the car first. I have fixed at least a dozen of these problems on Benz's in the shop after a car got towed in from the stereo shop.

99 ford escort. radio works, no sound. please read as its complicated.?

there are two fuses responsible for powering premium sound. The main fuse box under the dash has one fuse listed as "radio". This is the main power for the head unit. If the head unit powers on, then this fuse is good and working as it should.

The main difference between premium sound and the standard radios is that the premium sound head unit is not internally amplified. On the zx2/escort the premium sound is powered by an external amplifier located under the driver seat.

the external amplifier and cd changer is powered using another fuse in a smaller extension of the fuse box located just up and to the right of the main fuse box under the dash. The fuse responsible for the power to the amp and cd changer is a fuse labeled "audio". You can test this by either pressing the orange button on the changer (the changer will cycle if the fuse is good) or by removing and visually inspecting the fuse

The premium sound wiring also has a black loop back connector which clips into the black 8-pin connector. This is an important part of the wiring which needs to remain in place for the speaker output to work as intended. Please verify that this connection is still intact as well.

and for the record, the standard, non-premium sound head unit cannot just be plugged in place of premium sound units. The wiring is different and if the connection is forced to fit, sound to all 4 speakers will not work without further modification.

Does anyone know the radio code for the 2005 Honda Odyssey?

I left the door partly open and my battery died. After I got it jumped and let it run, etc, I went to turn the radio on and it just said "Code". I tried typing in random numbers a few times, but it just kept saying Error 1, Error 2...the clock screen is blank also (I assume this is connected to the radio)

So is there a way of finding out the code? I'm not sure where the book is and don't feel like digging through drawers to search for it.

Can you install a remote to a car if it has never had one before?

I just bought a 1998 honda civic dx in perfect condition and 87,525 miles. I am wanting to install a keyless entry key fob on it but I am not too sure about how to go about this. If the car has never had a system like this in it before, can I buy an unused OEM key fob made for the car and program it to work with it? Or do i have to do something else special so It can work .
