How to remove an incorrect CCJ from my credit report?
Absolutely! Pull copies of your credit reports. Send them with the judgement highlighted to each of the credit reporting agencies. Also send a letter stating that this debt does NOT belong to you, but to your mother and that it must be removed from your credit report immediately because your credit is important to you and its being damaged. Explain the name situation as well. They'll investigate and remove the debt. Keep in mind though that there is a good chance the debt will then appear on your mother's credit report once the situation is corrected (or it may not, some things just fall right through the cracks). If the CRA's do not remove it, go to a free consulation with an attorney. If you feel that hiring an attorney would be completely out of your price range you need to go to the Federal Trade Commission's website and file a formal complaint, write a letter of complaint to your state's Attorney General, and follow up with the CRAs letting them know that they did NOT comply with the law and you have contacted teh appropriate authorities (make sure they know exactly what actions you have taken). Also let them know that if the situation is not immediately resolved you have full intent to sue. Don't let anyone tell you it cannot be removed. It CAN. They are just very accustomed to people trying to remove legitimate CCJs from their credit reports. It's illegal for someone else's information to be reported as yours. Force the CRAs to follow the law. Look up the Fair Credit Reporting Act and read it. Don't let yourself be pushed around. You have a right to true and accurate information on your report. If i have CCJs (bad credit) under my name, will i be cleared in the vetting process for the security job?
I was deported 2 years back from UK to my country.Now i m back in the UK.. but i have one CCJs under my name.I am applying for security officer's job.but before giving job all the companies do vetting and security screening checks. Will CCJs effect my vetting process?If they found out that there is a CCJs under my name.would companies refuse me to give me job?
How can i have my credit record with cmap removed ?
I was a business minded 21 yrs old and i applied for a loan with a bank more than 15 years ago to venture into a business that didnt succeed. The collateral was my car. To make the story short the car was repossessed by the bank. Am i recorded with cmap thats why all my credit card application is being turned down. IF so, how can i have it removed since its been more than 15 years since they took my car. Btw I havent applied for any loan after that. I am living comfortable now with a stable job and income. Still the banks turn down my credit card application. pls advise me . thanks
