How can I make my barstool taller?
The easiest way out is to lower the height of your bar. If it has legs that can be sawed off a bit it would solve your problem. Alternatively you can buy roller wheels and fix on all your new stools, it should add about 2 1/2 inches. Then have cushions on your barstool seats. You should get closer to your target look..... However, if the costs involved for the modification is above your budget then just buy new stools. Hope you get to solve your problem.
My sliding glass doors were installed upside down. How do I fix this?
Your sliding glass doors are screwed into place and are not hard to re-install. If you have a handy friend you can remove the screws and turn the doors around as they should be and anchor them correctly. Remember to run a bead of silicone caulking under the threshold to prevent water from seeping in. You will also need to remove the handle and replace it correctly. This is not a big job. If screens were meant to be placed on the inside then every window in America is installed backwards.
How can you modify a pre-hung door to be 77" tall?
Generally speaking you want to cut the top of the door so that the handle remains at the standard height. While prehungs are not ideal it is not very hard to take apart the jambset (prehung frame) and cut it off at the top too. first remove the hinge pins and separate the door from the jambset. If your door is a hollow core door the top rail is likely only about 1-1/2" tall so you will need to cut the door first and then remove the top rail from the section that you cut off and reinsert and glue it back into the door. A couple of short finish niails are a good idea to keep it from falling too far down into the door while the glue dries. next pry apart the jambset and cut the top down by the same amount you cut the door down. this has to be pretty accurate or the door will bind on the top jamb or miss it completely leaving a gap. then put the jambset back together preferrably with glue and staples. rehang the door into the jambset and finally se the door as normal into the rough opening. The other option is to go to a millwork shop (BMC west has them all over the midwest where I live) and have them make a custom prehung. It will probably cost 2-3 times what the standard one did.

yes it does. It works your core muscle. Also if you don't want to do just pull ups you can also do the plank ... its a great workout for your abs. even better than regular crunches.

They say you're short because you are short. Get over it and move one with your life. Physical size ain't what it used to be.
