I Have A Pc Which Runs On Intel Dual Core Processor Intel G33 Series Motherboard With 2 Gb Ddr2

Does my motherboard support more than 4gb of physical ram memory?

Hi, my question is clear. Does my mobo support more than 4gb of ram. I am planning to buy another 8 or 4gb of ram for my gaming purpose.

My motherboard is Asus p5kpl-am epu

My current system specs:
Processor: Intel Core 2 Quad Q8300
Graphics card: Geforce GT 220 ( Planning to buy HD 5670, HD 5770 or better...maybe geforce gtx 5 series or 4 series :D)
Ram: 2gb ( Planning to add another ram to make it 6gb or 10gb)
HDD: 250gb

Thank you everyone in advance!! Really appreciate it :D :D

God bless!

Is it even remotely possible to overclock this motherboard at all?

Off the shelf, name brand, computers usually have their BIOS locked to prevent overclocking. Overclocking voids warranties and they (Dell, HP, etc) don't want to deal with angry owners, after they screw them up.

What is the most DDR3 RAM a motherboard with socket 1150 can handle?

Generally speaking, about 32GB.Any processor that fits in socket 1150 will have an integrated memory controller, and that is the part that determines the maximum amount of memory the motherboard can support. There are no desktop class parts(Core iX series) that can address more than 32GB of memory, and I am not certain that there are any Xeon parts in socket 1150 that can’t, but I would be surprised. For standard desktop parts like the Core i5–4670 or Core i7–4770, the memory controller is limited to 32GB of memory, two channels of memory, and four banks of memory. So 8GB per stick is your best bet.

Does my motherboard supports quad core, quad 2 core,i3,i5.?

i am using an dual core pc.(2.70GHZ).with 2gb ddr2 ram. i want to ask that does my motherboard supports quad core, quad 2 core,i3,i5. because i love gaming on a pc. and due to high graphics the game is very slow .also my graphic card is good .but due to low dual core processor the game is also very laggy,so,please tell me what type of highest processor.,does my motherboard supports.if my motherboard doesnot support next generation processor.so,tell me what type of processor it does supports .

Help with upgrading my system - graphics card/power supply?

The PCI Express (x16) slot is the black slot above the 2: PCI x1 slots. If you look closely at the motherboard, the slots are actually named. Don't get the fastest graphics card you can afford, because that might bottleneck with your cpu, which is a bit slow. Look for a PCI-E x16 graphics card, and also make sure it is a single slot one.

I also think that the RAM upgrade wouldn't be necessary, as 2GB is plenty. As for the cpu fan, that wouldn't be necessary either, because the processor isn't overclocked, the stock fan would be fine to keep it cool.

Power supplies: As for the power supply, look for an "ATX" power supply, with a minimum of 500w to power your computer with the dedicated graphics card.

Will a GTX 1060 Graphics card work with a Mini-ITX motherboard or will the motherboard limit performance?

Well the connections on the motherboard will be the same as regular ATX (albeit reduced in number) so it can be done – but it begs the question of why you would want to?Mini-ATX motherboards are miniaturised for a reason. They are for small form factor/space saving PC’s where people want something reasonably powerful to use but, also want it to be discreet – a media HTPC for example. Plonking a 1060 onto a mini-ATX defeats the object because you’ll still need a bigger case - and a much better PSU - to accommodate the GPU! The only way around this is to purchase a 1060 Mini which, whilst solving your problem, can often create more problems via heat generation being in such a confined space! My advice is; if you want gaming power (and I can’t imagine why you’d want a 1060 for simply browsing or watching media), go for a regular ATX and mini-tower or some other sleek case that fits your needs but, which accommodates full size ATX and components. The reason for this is twofold. Firstly, this gives you room to manoeuvre in the case whilst also offering more space for the all-important cooling. Secondly, your giving yourself scalability to upgrade down the line. With a small form factor PC, you’re immediately limiting yourself with what you can connect internally and sacrificing on connections externally.Weigh up the pro’s and con’s of what it’s going to be used for before you buy.

Will an nVidia GeForce GTS 250 work in this Inspiron 530?

It should work in your PC, but keep in mind the card takes up 2 slots, requires a minimum 450W PSU, and has a power connector on the card itself, so you'll need at least one power connector free in your system. Since you only have a 350W PSU, the nVidia cards will run at a reduced power mode. This is to prevent damage to the card and system. I'd suggest buying at least a 500W PSU to be certain your power can keep up with the demands of the system.
