I Have A Reoccurring Dream Of When I Was Molested How Do I Make It Stop

What does it mean if you have a dream that you are molested by a certain person?

I have had dreams about being molested in the past and did some research and asked my therapist what it meant. She did say that medication changes can make you have weird dreams and that it doesnt always mean you were molested. But now I am having dreams that a certain family member molested me and my mom told me I was always terrified of this person when I was little.
However I did just have a med increase a few days ago, not a med change just an increase and its been a med that Ive been on before. I have also been diagnosed with borderline personality disorder which they say is often caused by childhood trauma and I always told doctors that I didnt have childhood trauma that I remembered but I still have the diagnosis.

Why am I dreaming of being molested?

I had a dream about being molested and I could actually feel the fear I had because no matter what I did to try and escape the guy (I don t even know who it was) he always found me. In the dream I went to hospital and I was crying throughout the whole dream and woke up almost in tears

Dreams of being molested and raped?

What does it mean if I keep having different dreams of being molested, or sometimes even raped? I always know the men who are doing it in my dream, and the dreams are really vivid so it's making it hard to even look at them the same in person. A couple times it's been teachers, sometimes it's even been family members. It's so weird though because I keep having dreams like this. I'm a 14 year old girl, I wasn't ever molested or anything in real life. Please help?

Same dream of being raped? does it mean anything and is there anything to stop the dreams?

It is a reality that your mind is telling you about. Now, please be careful here, an expression of fears in which a racial aspect makes it more moving. Now don't get worried that your dreams are making you out to be a racist in order to feel extra guilty. It could have been a green lizard that did it, the issue still remains. The fact of your biology is that you have a target and its not on your back.

We would hope that when you do let some man have access, it will be willingly and appropriately given. We also know that this ideal does not always happen. There will be evil men who would take special delight in giving you the fright and indignity of your life.

The reality is that most of your life you will likely face nothing of the sort. Rapes happen all the time, but there are so many women, and men, that they are very infrequent. The risk is real, but normal life without it is much more normal.

You can do this in your dream, and in real life, get your gumption up, stand up, look the man in the eye, and firmly, loudly, say, "Go away!" The rapist wants a wimpy push-over falling in a sobbing heap. It is like a house with the lights on, the burglar will probably (though not always) rather explore a dark house then a bright house. Rapists don't like to snatch a woman from a group of friends (hint).

What does this reoccurring nightmare about being sexually abused mean?

Unfortunately, the science on this is not sound. I mean, there’s no consensus on what this means. There’s people who say suppressed memories like this don’t exist, and there’s others - like me - who say they do. A therapist will most likely tell you in a complicated way that no one understands dreams. You’ll have to decide what it means.I had a memory of sexual abuse come back through a nightmare as well. Here’s how I decided it was a memory:It made sense with my past. I felt like it happened, but I had no memory of it.I had symptoms of it that weren’t otherwise explained. Effects of Sexual Assault and RapeI felt strong aversion to imagining someone else doing what the abuser did to me. Much stronger than them doing anything else. For experimenting, I pretended it was a memory and tried to process it like it was. It felt like a memory and over the next day, it felt more in line with things.I analyzed the dream and tried to look for evidence of a memory versus a dream.I was the height of younger meI did not have the mindset of current meThere were small details that I couldn’t actively remember but could remember in the memory (e.g. yellow wallpaper, an old TV)

I had a dream my moms boyfriend trys to rape me?

I've had dreams like this in 8th grade then they stoped for a year now I'm in 10th grade and there starting up again but way more vivid I'm terrified I don't even wanna live here anymore because it seems so real me and my mom's boyfriend don't get along I hate him. Maybe that has something to do with it ? My mom swears up and down nothing would happen he's ben here for 8 years but I'm just terrified I don't know what to do or why I am having these night mares

Why do I keep having dreams that I'm being raped?

It depends on the context of the dream. Here are some possibilities. You may fantasize about being raped and work out that fantasy in a dream where it is safe to do so. Rape is rarely about sex and more about control, but some people do enjoy the feeling of being dominated. You may have seen rape portrayed in movies, tv or internet, and that visual content has made its way into your dream. Your mind works on things in the background while you sleep and visual input, while you are awake, provides images for your dreams. You may feel like you are not in control of some aspect of your life. Rape is not about sex, it is about control. The rape in your dream may be a metaphor for something you are going through where you feel helpless to stop or change something and you feel out of control. You may have repressed memories of a prior rape in this life. Sometimes trauma, when kids are young, manifests itself later in life and the visual input from the event makes its way into dreams later in life. You may have been raped in a previous life. I am a huge fan of multiple life theory and I am confident that I have lived before, a number of times. Sometimes memories from past lives can cross over into this life in your dreams.

What does it mean when I have nightmares about being raped by my dad?

It's impossible to tell you the reason without having much more details about your life and relationship with your father than you can share here. Such nightmares are usually not caused by only one thing. Dreams are always a combination of multiple events and that makes the answers for "Why?" a very long list. Your subconscious basically saves all the information you've ever learned, all sounds, colors, feelings....make a short movie with them, and show you in dream form.People always look for a meaning in dreams but this is not always the case. Not every dream has a deep meaning. Dreams can get very obsessive in themselves, especially nightmares. The reason why you have nightmares about your father raping you might be even something like, step by step;1. You read/heard/thought about a father molesting or raping his daughter2. Had a nightmare like that because that news got stuck in your head3. You got so affected by that nightmare that you had the same nightmare again4. After having that nightmare two times, you got even more scared of having the nightmare and you had/are having that nightmare because you're scared of having that.Related funny note: This exact thing happened to me after I had a sexual dream about Mick Jagger. I still sometimes have sex dreams that involves Mick Jagger even though I have no desire or ever had.Rape dreams can also be the result of person feeling like she/he has no control in their lives. If you somehow feel you're overcome by your father, if you feel like he is more involved in your life and/or decisions than you'd like, if you think he doesn't respect your privacy or borders as much as you want, this can also lead to such nightmares.

Why do I keep having dreams of being bullied and raped?

Oftentimes people dream of their fears. It is incredibly reasonable to be afraid of rape. Dreams aren't always a reflection of what is going on in your life. For example; every summer I have the recurring dream that I have a quest to complete in the desert and I must complete it before the soles of my shoes wear down. Go figure.

It's actually pretty normal to dream about that kind of stuff. In most cases it is bad to dream about fears, but your fear is completely rational.

Below is a list of things that influence your dreams. If you want these nightmares to stop, I suggest changing up your routine.
