Why is Gmail cluttering my inbox with so many Ads?
That is what the people call spam.They are unwanted advertisements that are dumped in to your inbox by spammers.Spammers are like the telemarketers of the email world.. Except they are much, much, more annoying.They will sometimes refer to themselves as marketers, which they technically are because they are marketing something to you in those email ads/spam that you are getting, but they are just spammers.Gmail isn't sending them, so it is not Google's fault.In a way, it's your fault.These spammers buy a list of contacts from a company that collects and sells them. These companies could be one of the sites that asked you for your email address when you signed up for an account with the website.The shady ones will hide the fact that they may sell your contact information to a third party company in the TOS (Terms of Service), and that by continuing with the sign up, you are agreeing to the terms and be contacted by a third party.So, that is why your inbox is flooded with spam.

Any adblocking extension should do.For chrome, adblocking or addblock plus, for Firefox, I prefer ublock. On Android, adaway is good, although it requires root access to work.
