Is it ok to hold your baby upside down?

My boyfriend loves to play with our daughter of 9 months like if she's an older child. Yesterday he hung her upside down (this is the second time) by her waist like bringing her up and down up and down and I immediately told him not to because its bad for the babies. He asked me in what way and well, I've heard that their blood rushes to their head. He thinks that's a bunch of bologna. Is it ok? Or is there a website that answers my question? I just think its not safe for that reason and because he is holding her from the waist, hanging upside down with most of her weight hanging down so what if something happens to her hip bone like pops or something? AM i over exaggerating?

Girls: Have you ever had a guy who holds your head down while you are giving him oral sex?

I have been with 2 guys who did that to me. The first guy was normal size so when he held my head down and pushed in deeper it wasn't that bad. But then I was dating this guy who was like 8 inches and did that to me and I felt like It was going to rip the back of my throat open. I told him not to do it again but thge jerk did it one more time. I was so angry but he just laughed turned me around and penetrated me, He was big!
Is this a guy thing or a jerk thing? Any other girl have this happen?

I found a wild bird who can't hold up his head or fly.?

Why does my elderly aunt put her head down all the time..?

It is great to hear about your care and concern for your great aunt !

I suspect your great aunt does not know what to do now, despite the assistance that has been given to her since you have her living with you. I think the saying "you can't teach an old dog new tricks" may be applied here.

Now that she has access to the senior centre, she may not be able to think of conversation topics or has maybe lost the skill and confidence to hold a conversation with people who are new to her.

Getting her to talk about her past occupations, holidays she went on as a younger person perhaps and people she may have known would be the way to 'break into her world'. Maybe she would just like someone to sit quietly with her for a awhile, possibly both of you reading a book of your own or simply watching the sun set in the late afternoon. Gradually she should open up.

Getting some sun would be important factor for keeping her spirits up - perhaps a walk (she may need a wheelchair or some other walking aid) to your local park to quietly watch children play would cheer her up. Could the care aid or someone else do this on a daily basis with her, weather permitting ?

Just a hint : when some people (especially senior citizens or anyone who is having difficulty coping ) are asked "what's wrong ?" , they clam up. I'm not saying this is a good thing but I have noticed this in patients and my own elderly mum and my husband and my teenage children. It seems to be their way of saying "I am ok, I can look after myself" or they are thinking of so many things they would like to tell you that is troubling them, that they do not know where to start.

When I did my nurses training 27 years ago, it was drilled into us that reassuring a patient is not just say "there, there it will be alright" over and over again. That is irritating to the patient. Reassure her calmly and patiently by talking about the 'where, when why, what and how' that is taking place. For example :

"I am leaving for work now [what], I will be back at 5.30pm [when]. The aid will take you for a walk to the park today (where), it would be pleasant and relaxing to see the birds at the lake and the children play (how).

As opposed to " I'm out of here, running late for work, the care aid knows what to do, stop looking so glum, you are living with family now".

Girls what does this mean when a girl walks with her head down and never looks up?

I do this all the time when I pass strangers on the street on in a hallway, I'll look down as I pass them. I don't know why I do, I'm just too intimidated to make eye-contact with strangers! She's probably just shy.
