What is a good song for a 5 member musical theatre ensemble to perform with chairs only and no costumes?
Let's Hear It For The Boy and Cell Block Tango are currently being considered. My ensemble is entering a festival and the rules state that only 6 chairs and a table may be used. Some songs wouldn't be performed to the greatest standards with these requirements. Do you know of a song that can be?
Is it possible to major in musical theater if you are 'fat'?
This is a serious question. I have been struggling with body image for a very long time now and I am medically overweight. I auditioned for a summer program for Musical Theater and I was wondering if I could still get in? They don't have any physical requirements, and I know this sounds stupid but please I really would like to know honestly.
How do actresses feel about kissing scenes?
Interesting question! I believe most actresses/actors receive a script they must read beforehand, dealing with all the intimacy and kissing scenes, and once a female actress had finally committed to producing a film, she will be determined to do whatever is in the script. So, I'm guessing it's not really awkward for them, since they have to just pretend. Anyway, I can't speak for every actress out there, so i don't really know! This is the best thing i can come up with! Edit: I had just read your extra details, and i believe that in order to find the answer to your second question, you'd need to be in their shoes. Asking an actress may be the best answer you can get, but I highly doubt Y/A has much actresses wondering around on here! Maybe very limited, and inexperienced actresses who don't really get very intimate parts. Sorry for wasting your time since I'm not an actress, although i'm a huge movie-freak! Edit2: Haha, okay, well, if i were in their shoes, i wouldn't feel much of anything at all, sure, it would be awkward at first, but bonding and cooperating with the actor I'm getting intimate with, will definitely boost up my self-esteem. So, the answer to your question is, yes, i would be comfortable after a while. Taking risks is apart of life after all! I guess i would be more comfortable kissing my boyfriend, but if it's not my job to kiss him, it's my job to kiss the actor, so if it's something i have to do, then i should do it. Hope this helped!
