There are a bunch of great options for design a cover for your Wattpad book. It’s a matter of balancing ease of use with flexibility. Depending on your experience with design, here are some options to consider:Covers by Wattpad: Available for Android and iOS, this mobile app designed by Wattpad HQ lets you search through their library of photos (and upload your own) before applying filters and adding text.Pros: It’s free, pretty simple, and integrated into WattpadCons: There’s every chance your cover will look like someone else’sCanva: This surprisingly powerful web-based design tool has it’s very own Wattpad cover templates which will help you get started. How can I see who checks my story on Wattpad?

As far as I know, you can't see exactly who reads your story. What you can do is see the amount of different people reading your book each day. You can also see who votes and comments. At the end of a chapter leave a short and kind reminder to vote if they liked the chapter then ask a question or something.

Does Wattpad User Have A Right To Steal Someone Elses Story Idea And Get It Published As Theirs?

In my experience, writers who worry about their ideas being "stolen" tend not to be capable (yet) of coming up with ideas that are worth the bother of "stealing". Just sayin'...

But yes, if you post some of your writing on Wattpad, or any other website, anybody who reads it can copy the ideas and write their own story from them and get it published and become richer than J K Rowling. And they don't have to give you a penny or even acknowledge you as the source of the ideas. There's no need to be shocked or outraged, because this is how creativity works. The writers who are praised as original are just better at hiding their sources than the ones who are chastised for being copycats. If copying other writers' ideas became illegal, then about a year after that law was passed, writers would have to stop writing new stories.

Someone who sees your story and thinks the ideas are great still has to write their own story from those ideas. Someone who's lazy enough to copy ideas from one source, rather than mixing and matching ideas from several sources, is usually too lazy to write a story that's worth reading. Even if they do manage to write it, they still have to get it published, which is even harder than writing it if you've never published before. So stop worrying and get posting.

(Now, if someone copies the actual words of your story, or a recognisable chunk of them, and tries to get that published, that's copyright infringement, which *is* illegal. But that wasn't what you asked about.)

Does anyone know how to make a book cover (for Wattpad)?

Creating an effective, eye-catching cover for Wattpad is maybe one of the best ways to help your story stand out from the crowd! You know how small the thumbnail is going to be — so before you export your design, shrink it to that size and see if a regular person will be able to read the title or recognize the images.Communicate your genre. Take inspiration from novels that are similar in tone or content to your story. You want readers to see your design and go, “Oh… that looks a bit like the cover for x — I love that book, so I’ll give this story a go.”Use brighter, high contrast images. This will not only help your text stand out, it will also make your cover pop when it’s next to a bunch of muddy, subdued designs. For more design tips, check out this experiment where four books were given a brand now cover that followed basic book design principles.

Why can't I upload a book cover on wattpad?

Ok so I created a picture with adobe on my iPod and then emailed it to myself and saved it on my computer. I then tried to upload it to wattpad by clicking on 'change cover' and then clicking the picture but all it does is sit there for hours with a little loading symbol in the bottom left hand corner. Please help! I don't understand why it won't upload!!!
Thanks!

Wattpad Plagiarism Question?

Don't worry about plagiarism. Generally, once you've written something down in your own words, it's copyrighted. Then if someone takes it and tries to make money off it (note that this applies to the actual wording of your story, not the idea, which cannot be copyrighted), you can prove that you were the original creator of the work.

That said, you shouldn't post stories you intend to publish online. When you post a story online, you are essentially "publishing" it, and you're throwing away your first publication rights. Once you do that, you pretty much guarantee that a commercial publisher will never be interested in that story, because they want those rights. Think about it this way: Once you've written it online, it will exist forever, even if you delete it. Archive sites, cache sites, etc. will preserve pretty much everything you write online. Why would a publisher buy a story that can be read for free online? There's no profit to be made there.

There is nothing wrong with posting stories online, just don't post stories you intend to sell to a publisher.
