Need help finding a monologue!?
Hi! I need help finding a good monologue that fits my personality. Last year i didn't do a great job auditioning for a musical and i'm hoping this school year i can do better. I've never gotten a lead part in a play before so i need help finding a GOOD monologue! If anyone can look up some on books or web site's please let me know.the monologue can be from a play or movie. If you find any good Shakespeare monologues please let me know too! But i want to find one that's not Shakespearean. also to remember is that i'm a GIRL. I don't care what the age of the character is also.please help me. my personality: I'm definitely not preppy or peppy. I kind of have an edge. Depressed, vulnerable, lost in this world. Sometimes clueless. Strong, and at the same time hopeless. Frustrated. Please help me find something that has good writing and nothing stupid. Sorry to be picky.....I just really want to get a good part this year. P.S. I'm a freshman in HS!
I need help finding a monologue!?
Hey guys! I am planning on trying out for the Interlochen Arts Camp musical theatre program for Intermediate girls, and I need help finding a monologue. I am ten, and I am a girl. I would like to find a funny, maybe sarcastic, witty monologue that is no longer that 3 minutes long. Also, if you can, please include a web address where I can find the monologue. Thanks a ton!
I need help finding a monologue?
Hi, I'm auditioning for a part in a local theater's production of Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory in early June (next month) and I'm hoping to be called back for Veruca Salt. I'll be singing a song that shows the sad and sensitive part of me, so I wanted a monologue that completely contrasts it... So I am trying to find a good monologue that could show somewhat of the "Veruca Salt" inside of me :D I don't particularly want just a bratty monologue, as casting directors want to see some meaning and some personality and an actual character, not just some girl screaming. Does anyone have a monologue to suggest? A monologue from an actual play, not from a monologue book please. Thanks to everyone who helps! I really want this part and I believe I'm up for it!

I desperately need help finding a monologue....?
OK it is on a 17yr old girl...Bella swan from twilight. it is the preface of the books very emotion...i have picked out the best one for you ok this is from breaking dawn written by stephenie meyer i'd had more than my fair share of near-death experiences; it wasn't something you really got used to. it seemed oddly inevitable, though, facing death again. like i really was marked for disaster, i'd escaped time and time again, but it kept coming back for me. still, this time was no different from the others. you could run from someone you feared, you could try to fight someone you hated. all my reactions were geared towards those kinds of killers- the monsters, the enemies. when you loved the one who was killing you, it left you no options. how could you run, how could you fight, when doing so would hurt that beloved one? if your life was all you had to give your beloved, how could you not give it? if it was someone you truly loved? thanks...i hope its what ur looking for if not...tell me and i'll get u another one x

Need help finding a one minute monologue for my college audition-?
My college audition requires two contrasting one minute monologues, and a one minute cutting from a Broadway musical. One of my monologues is Luisa from The Fantasticks, and my song is "There are Worse Things I Could Do" from Grease. I need help finding a one minute monologue, that would contrast with this Fantasticks monologue --- This morning a bird woke me up. It was a lark or a peacock. Or something like that. Some strange sort of bird that I’d not heard. And I said, ‘hello.’ And it vanished: flew away. The very minute I said ‘hello.’ It was mysterious, so do you know what I did? I went over to the mirror and brushed my hair two hundred times without stopping. And as I was brushing it, my hair turned gold! No, honestly! Gold! And then red. And then sort of a deep blue when the sun hit it. Every day something happens to me. I don’t know what to make of it. When I get up in the morning to get dressed, I can tell: something’s different. I like to touch my eyelids because they’re never quite the same. I hug myself till my arms are blue, then I close my eyes and I cry and cry till the tears come down, and I taste them. Ah! I love to taste my tears. I am special. I am special. Please God, please – don’t let me be normal!
HELP! Can you help me find a one minute comedic monologue for the play I am auditioning for?
The right monologue for you is different than the right monologue for anyone else, so the process of finding monologues really isn't something someone can do for you. That said, there are ways to make it a bit easier. Do a little research and find other plays (books can work too) by the writer of the play you're auditioning for. Then, find 5–10 writers who were writing around the same time and in the same geographic area and look at their works. If you have trouble, expand your parameters a bit.A good monologue should have a clear sense of beginning, middle, and end, and give you a chance to show a few different ‘colors’ as an actor. It should play to your strengths, rather than requiring you to do something you don't feel confident doing. And mostly, it should appeal to you… it should be something you like and look forward to playing with. That's why finding a good monologue is highly personal and different for everyone.
