Can a German Shepperd and a Dachshund get along and live together?

My beloved Shepperd Buck pasted on six months ago. He was childhood dog I had him since I was 8 years old. I am now 23 and I just got a another Shepperd Remington. He is almost 2 months old. Last night when I returned to work I found a Dachshund pup in a shoe box on my front stoup. It is a female and she looks extremely underfed. So I put my hand out to her she came over to me and licked me. She pawed my legs so I picked her up and took her into my garage. I got an old pillow and some blankets for her and gave her some canned puppy food that had left and water. I even turned the furnace on for her so she would be warm. I waited there till she fell asleep. I went out to the garage this morning and found her burrowed under all the blankets then she herd me and her little head poked out. She ate some food and drank some water but she has not went to the bathroom. I have an appointment for her at my vet today at 3. I called my shelter and they said they had no room for her because this sort of thing happens all the time. She is still out in my garage I just checked on her and she is sleeping. I am kind of afraid to introduce her and Rem. He does get along with my brother's Golden Retriever and Dalmatian and my parents Chow Chow. but these are all large dogs. Any tips on how to introduce them would be great. Plus I know nothing about dachshunds any tips on them would be great as well. If the two of them would get along I would just keep her. I never thought I would fall for a small dog but she is so sweet and cute.

Newborn dachshunds with pink noses and white on face?

Bless your heart, and pay no attention to the attacks. Check this site for different colors. One or both can have these colors in the background (parents ,grandparents etc) and pup can take after them instead of mom and dad.

Why does my dog keep on pooping under the table?

going under the table is trying to hide it. She looks up and can't see so in her mind you can't see it.

Help! my yorkie is walking on 3 legs and not using her back right leg!?

Go to the vet is an obvious thing.
My mom said that if she isnt better by monday, well take her.
but in the meantime, what do you think could be wrong? She hasnt taken any falls .. we checked her foot for thorns and other sharp objects. she hasnt got a scratch or bump on her leg. has she dislocated her hip? because shes not limping ... like i said shes sticking her whole foot up like a male dog about to pee and not using that leg.

also she can fully extend her leg and she isnt complaining. it doesnt keep her from running around on 3 legs. though she is shaking alot. idk what that means .. i heard it means shes in pain.

please help me!

Does your dog ever act as if you offended him/her?

Yes. I have been aware of how dogs express themselves in ways that could not possibly be mistaken. One of my favorites is when I told Mr. Bentley we were going for a ride. But s I got my keys, the phone rang. Bentley was pacing and giving me 'the eye,' so I reassured him as soon as the call was over. We made it to the car, but someone pulled in the drive, so I got out. Setting my hat on the seat, I told him to stay, and though he is a good dog, the person was taking a lot of time, so Bentley came up and began pacing, and making noises, and pestering. So I told him to leave us alone! As soon as I was finished....And he did. he left, and did not bother me again. Once and finally I made it to the car, and he was sitting near the open drivers door, my hat was at his feet, ripped to shreds, and he was glaring at me, telling me to go head, punish him! I laughed, and cleaned themes, and gave him a big hug, then we stayed out and did things he loves for far longer than I had planned. When I took in another dog, a pup he was offended, and while I was house training the pup, I kept finding dog doo and wet spots around the house. I banished the pup to the laundry room, and the messes stopped, so I allowed he full house privileges, and the messes began again! Then I caught him, my 'secret shitter,' planting another bomb, knowing I would blame the puppy! "Mr. Bentley!" He stopped in mid pinch, and took two steps forward, then looked behind himself, and shocked, he almost stepped in that! Walked calmly past me and into the kitchen, where his nails gave up the fact that he was full on headed out the back door. I heard it open, then close, and he did not come in that night. I called for him, and he sheepishly approached, but I did not, and have not said anything, and surprise of surprises, the in house dog messes stopped......

New puppy, please help with training!?

i know hes younger than six weeks because hes been nursing on his sister and shes been nursing on my sisters shoes -___-
also they still have blue eyes!
and we bought his sister so he would have someone his age to play with cause my dogs are all old and grumpy butts. -___-
but i bought 2 of my other poms at 6 weeks and 7 weeks and they are fine except that one got neutered and now hes a fat spoiled little brat. but i love him. lol
and he doesnt whine much.
only when he wants something.
my mom used to breed dogs.
i know little about it from her.
and i would ask her.
only thing is,
i live 5.5 hours from my mom and i quit talking to her after i got emancipated.

Anyone have experience with a dog with Congestive heart failure?

yes I had a 16 1/2 year old male Chihuahua that had congestive heart failure. he was diagnosed with this condition when he was 10 years old I had him on a senior dog formula dog food.his Vet told me to keep him on this and I could give him a treat ever now and than. she said she didn't mind if he gained a few pounds ( not a lot ) because Chihuahua's goes downhill fast when they get sick and she was right as he got older the more he became feeble the last 2 months of his life he was falling over , because he was so weak from lack of oxygen to his lungs . had severe trouble breathing would pass out , started to urinate in the house which he never did before but he never lost his appetite he was on medication but after a while it didn't seem to help so I had to make the horrible decision th have him put down . I held him in my arms and told him how much I loved him and how much I loved having him in my life for 16 1/2 years . he went to sleep very quietly and peaceful . enjoy the time you have left your best friend . hope this helps, your dog is in my prayers
