I Need Help On Choosing Which Computer To Get

I need help choosing a (cheap) Desktop Computer.?

You can build a very good gaming PC for $700. $1000 will get you a gaming PC that's almost cutting edge.

Look for a quad-core processor. The best processors for gaming are the Intel Core i5-2000 series processors. The i5-2500K is popular because it's the olny one that can be overclocked. The AMD Phenom II X4 processors are acceptable.

A card like the GTX 560 or the Radeon 6850 are the minimum for a good gaming PC. All Radeon cards have a native HDMI slot.

You should be able to find a good motherboard for $130. Spending more gets you more overclocking and Hard Drive Raid features.

A DVD/RW drive costs $20

You will have to pay for good internet service to have great internet download speeds. A $400 dual-core budget computer is more than capable of handling a 65mbps internet connection. Any custom built computer will have no problem.

Having 2 or 3 hard drives in Raid 0 will help your loading times in games. I would suggest a Samsung Spinpoint F3 1tb Hard drive.

Which one of this computers would you choose?

You have to choose a device for each situation, which computer or device would you choose? Consideration Speed (clock rate), thumb drive, RAM and hard disk, Printer (DPI and PPM)

THANK U VERY MUCH

THANKS TO ALL FOR ANSWERS, I'll really appreciate it.

Help me choose one of these computers! :)?

None of them. Your two specified uses: Homework and games are wildly different. Homework (word, powerpoint, web browsing) can be done on almost any machine. You want to play games - and any gaming computer will be able to do homework. Therefore, go for a computer that doesn't come from any manufacturer, and then hire someone local to build your computer. I'd say start looking for someone NOW. As for components, buy these, give them to the guy you've chosen (agree beforehand any compensation if he damages your components/ makes a faulty computer).

A $500 gaming computer: http://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/budget-gaming-pc-phenom-ii-radeon-hd-6850,2903.html

A $1000 gaming computer: http://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/radeon-hd-6950-unlock-build-a-pc-overclock,2893.html

Both of these will play mw2 with ease. Monitors and Peripherals (mouse, keyboard, speakers):

Monitor: lg w2361v 0 23" 1920x1080 (1080p)
Mouse: Cyborg V3 USB Gaming Mouse
Keyboard: Logitech Media Keyboard 600 Wired
SOUND: Speakers (Get one of these): Stereo: Creative Inspire A320 2.1 Speakers
Surround sound: Logitech x-540
OR get this
Gaming headset: Ozone Gaming Gear Spark Stereo Gaming Headset

And there you have a reasonably priced and utterly AWESOME gaming pc that will be able to eat Modern Warfare 2 for breakfast at full 1080p on max settings

Need help choosing video card for HP P6203W?

with all respect, putting a fairly decent 250 dollar graphics card in this PC (GTX 560 ti at $250), even with a nice 650W powersupply (100 dollars) (that may or may not fit) prob wont help you too much with games like black ops, even though your graphics will be ok, the CPU and RAM and general low spec motherboard will let the set up down.

imo best to save up and put that 250 dollar card in a 1000 dollar PC

to actually answer your question though, that motherboard has 1 PCI-e x16 slot, so most cards around that price like the 560 ti will fit the motherboard, things to consider are that the graphics card is like a foot long, so will it fit in the case, will it get enough air flow to run well, are the fans in the case good enough, appear to be minimal. etc etc.

Need help choosing a gaming laptop?

Right now I have an Acer Aspire 5253-BZ841, it's only a few years old and it's a fabulous laptop, but not so much for gaming. It lags frequently and has painfully slow loading time, among other things wrong with it. I've decided it's time for a new computer with the ability to support my needs.

The only game I really play is League of Legends, if that helps. I don't know for sure, but I don't think it takes as much effort for a computer as something like World of Warcraft or Diablo 3(D3 was nearly impossible to play on this thing...) but I could be wrong. I am on the computer ALOT, so on top of efficiently running my game, I'd love for it to be reliable and fast for when I browse the internet, use Photoshop, ect.

I THINK I'd like to get a laptop, because I do travel around a bit, but a desktop computer is ABSOLUTELY NOT out of the question. I could always keep this laptop and take it with me when I go and have my awesome desktop at home.

I did a little research and these laptops were the most appealing to me:

My budget is like $1200, so I'd love some advice about computers in that price range. Can anyone vouch for any of these laptops I linked or suggest better ones that I can research? Any help is appreciated.

Suggestion and help needed in choosing project work (Computer Science)?

According to your subjects, I assume you are in 3rd sem or may be 4rth.Apart from that,Doing projects on the first one is very hard since it is purely theoritical and it will too mich time consuming.Projects on operating systems are good but do read other reference books except the popular ones.Try Modern day Operating System ( Wiley Publication)If you are doing things in OS then use unix platform cause it is open source amd flexible. You can even try to write your own OS obviously with CUI only.Online community has lots of tutorial and evenbopen source kernels which you can tweak and apppy n your own OS. It will require a heavy knowledge of Assembly Language.I have written answer on how to build a basic OS but I am too lazy to link it.Now among all of these the most easiest is DBMS.You can create an inventory software, or library management or if you know php then punch it with Mysql to build student record shower .Now to understand better any topic, try to understand the main things very carefully, no mercy there. While doing it, if any such topic excites you and you think you can apply that in another way or somewhere else then that will be great too. Most of the projects that you will find online are either require other knowledge that you dont have or it is already available with code snippets. For example, while learning about digital circuits (demux, mux) I used an Arduino Uno and relay to switch on and off a particular electric item .Then after learning Php I started to do it using a server through an Android app ,then came switching using normal sms. Now I can scale that up to my full room though I cant (resource and permission problem). Now the point is , you try on somethiing easy to buid the base of knowedge and then improve upon it as you grow your base.
