I need help with this math problem .?

Hello, I just read you question. Lets begin this problem by setting up a simple equation. Firstly we have $105.00 as the total price without tax. To find tax tax 8.75% and convert it into a decimal. 8.75 as a decimal would be 0.0875. Why is this the decimal? Well, since the % is 8.75 and .08 is 8% as a decimal you use pure logic since the rest is self explanatory. Multiply 105 x .0875 and you will get a product of 9.1875 which would be rounded to $9.19. So then you take 105 +$9.19( or the product) and you get an answer of $114.19. The new price with tax included is $114.19.

Hope this Helps.

I Need Help With A Math Problem?

ok so this would be a division problem

300 / 10 = each person picked up 30 apples each

30 / 5 = 6. each person picked up 6 apples per hour for 5 hours to = 500 get it?

now were trien to find how long it took 1 person to pick up 300 apples

so we do 300 / 6 and that = 50. meaning it will take 1 person 50 hours to pick up 300 apples

I need help with a math problem!!!!?

just put whatever y equals into the expression and then do the math

So the first one is

I need help with a math problem, can you help me?

P= 2W + 2L [Perimeter= 2 times width plus 2 times height]
P= 2(4.2) + 2(3.65) [= 2 times 4.2 plus 2 times 3.65]
P= 8.4 + 7.3 [= 8.4 + 7.3]
P= 15.7 inches squared

Perimeter= 15.7 square inches, or 15.7 inches squared.

I need help with this math problem please help?

First, they sold 57,444 tickets at $2 so they made $114,888.

Now how much do they lose from the prizes?

2000 + 1500= 3500

now for the others:

3rd prize is 1000

4th prize + 202th prize is 1000

5th prize + 201th prize is 1000

etc.

If you continue to pair them up in this fashion, you get 99 pairing and the middle value $500 has no pairing

So, 2000 + 1500 + 1000(99) + 500 = 103,000

Total from the fundraiser is: 114,888 - 103,000 = $11,888

I honestly would not be happy with that fundraiser considering how much money they lost to prize winners.

I really need help with this math problem by 5:30. The problem is in the description, can you help and tell how you solved it?

I apologize for the fact that I did not see this problem until now and my answer is probably too late to help you. Still, I’m going to do it.Let’s dissect this problem one sentence at a time.The price of 3 pairs of skis and 4 pairs of skates was $470.Let [math]x[/math] represent the price of one pair of skis and [math]y[/math] represent the price of one pair of skates. Therefore, the price of three pairs of skis and four pairs of skates is [math]3x+4y[/math]. Setting this expression equal to 470, we get the equation [math]3x+4y=470[/math].What is the price of a pair of skis and a pair of skates if the price of 2 pairs of skates is $10 more than the price of a pair of skis?Okay, we know we are looking for the price of a pair of skis and a pair of skates, or [math]x+y[/math].Then we get the information that 2 pairs of skates costs ten dollars more than one pair of skis, or [math]2y-10=x.[/math]So now we have our system:[math]3x+4y=470[/math][math]2y-10=x[/math]Substituting [math]2y-10[/math] for [math]x[/math] in the first equation, we get:[math]3x+4y=470[/math][math]3(2y-10)+4y=470[/math][math]6y-30+4y=470[/math][math]10y=500[/math][math]y=50[/math]One pair of skates costs 50 dollars. To find the cost of one pair of skis, we substitute 50 for [math]y[/math] in any of the equations. In this case, the second equation is easier:[math]2y-10=x[/math][math]x=2(50)-10[/math][math]x=100-10[/math][math]x=90[/math]So the cost of one pair of skis and one pair of skates is [math]90+50=\boxed{$140}[/math]

Need help to explain math problems!?

Question 1 is and interest problem the formula is I=prt
I (interest) = the total $ amount of interest
P (principal) = the amount ur depositin
R (rate) = the precentage rate
T (time) = the amount of time the money is allowed to grow
for these problems you need you plug in what you know and solve for the one you dont know. Since you are looking at a matter of decreasing value, the "rate" variable is negative.

Question 2
First. Think outside the box on this one a little. You know that if you are putting money in the account each month, you should have more money in June than you did in February. The only answer with a higher June balance is A.

With that said. Think about it in parts. You need the function to tell how many months have passed. We start in month 2 (February) so (x-2) tells you how many months have passed. With each passing month we add 45 dollars, another way to say that we multiply 45 by the number of months that have passes 45(x-2). Now take into account that there was already $270 in the account 45(x-2)+270. That means that our equation is y = 45(x-2)+270. If we subtract 270 from both sides of the equals sign our equation will look just like the one form A. June is month number 6. If you plug 6 into our equation you get $450 making A the right answer.

Question 3
I wish I could get you through all 4 but maybe someone else can help u wit this one

Question 4
This is an order of operations problem. From you question, it seems that you are having trouble with exponents.

That exponent of 3 means 10X10X10=1000. Notice that it is 10 shows up three times. The exponent of 7 means we need 10 to show up seven times 10X10X10X10X10X10X10=10,000,000. The trick with exponents and the number 10 is that the exponent tells you how many zeros to put after the 1.

The thing that helps most ppl get exponents is a change in the way to approach it. Remember how you learned that multiplication as a way to look at adding stf several times 3+3+3+3=3X4. Exponents are the same thing just for multiplicaton 3X3X3X3=3^4.

Good Luck
