I Need Names For My Book Characters

I need names for my book character?

I was inspired to write a story about a normal-teenage-guy-turned-super-hero after watching the movie, 'Kick-***'. I prepared a plot and settings and all, but what I just realized, I hadn't thought of a name for my characters yet..WHICH PLAYS A REALLY IMPORTANT ROLE IN A STORY MAKING ASDFGHJKL!1!11! So yeahh..

The first character has:

Male, 15 - brown hair, brown eyes, skinny (not too much), 5'10"
(personality: awkward and smart)

2. Female, 18 - blonde hair with pink tips (later dyes her hair brown, her natural hair color), grey eyes, wears glasses 5'6"
(personality: witty, quirky, and bubbly)

3. Male, 15 - has swept blonde hair, blue eyes
(personality: shy, awkward, geeky)

4. Male, 16 - stout, brown hair, grey eyes, and glasses
(personality: nice at first, but then turned evil)\

5. Female, 15 - has frizzy blonde hair
(personality: creepy and obsessed)

That's about it. I know it sounds cheesy, but I'll work on it! :)) I'd like unique names (and surnames) :D Oh and also, I need a super hero name for the main character. (I need two superhero names to be suggested by his friends (has to be weird and humorous) and the final one he'll use)

THANKS IN ADVANCED!! LOVE YOU GUYS :D <3

I need names and surnames for my book characters?

My genre of writing is usually YA/ Chick-Lit, but I've decided to write a book series where the main characters are witches and wizards, I guess you can say like the Harry Potter series. I have a few names for the witches, but I am stumped with the wizards and surnames period. I need a few suggestions for names (boys and girls) and surnames. It doesn't have to be crazy sounding but something unique, like Hermione and Draco. I like the surname Malfoy too :)

A few girl names I have:
Sade
Sylar
Maia
Avalon
Azalea
Blake (for a boy)
That's all I have. All help is appreciated! Thank YOU!

What is a good character's name for my book?

Popular boys names in the late 1990s were names like Cody, Kyle, Austin, Tyler, Brandon, Zachary, Justin among the more traditional names like Christopher, Michael, Andrew, Michael, David.  Top name for boys those years was Michael, which could allow for lots of nicknames. The city is 70% Caucasian, so he'd be from a white family likely, but you'd be mistaken about "worker" family, it's a very expensive city to live, among the most expensive in the country so he'd be more upscale, more privileged - the median home prices are around $2million. His dad would probably be in the tech industry, medical or real estate. I'm betting dad's a realtor, that would allow for the kid to have more free time on his own. So, I'd name him something along the lines of Kyle Jeffords, or Christopher Sutton, Michael Bennett, Zachary Tyler. Just food for thought, since you've picked such a distinct geographic region, the name should fit.source demographic Los Altos, Californiasource names Top names of the 1990s

Are books and characters allowed to have the same name from two separate people?

This is delicate. I think that you can if you make it quite clear that this character has nothing to do with the more “already” famous one. Like stating that “Yes, my name is ________. My parents named me after their favorite character in a book series” so that you differentiate from the original character. BUT the storyline of the second, lets say “Harry Potter”, cannot be about a young magician in a Circus school learning how to do magic tricks from a Master of Illusion. If it’s too close to the original there may be legal issues. Also, you probably could be sued if you used a familiar character name and then put that character into situations that the original author feel might devalue their product/character with that name. Such as Harry being in an SM relationship with Malfoy and Ron or in a “50 Shades” situation with Hermione or Ginny. (NOT suggesting fan fiction writers to this AT ALL!!) It would sully the good image of the original Harry. If one wanted to use a familiar character name I would hope they would take pains to only use the name and distance themselves from the original. Now, some authors want to use a character and go off in another direction with them. I think you would need the authors and publishers written permission to do this and you might have to pay them something for using the character and you might also get a lawsuit asking for part of the profits if your story takes off and makes you millions on the grounds that you used their already established character and made money off it. They own the original intellectual property and may actually have a chance at getting some money from you.

What last names would go well with my book characters' first names?

My book is a supernatural fantasy romance. The characters I have listed bellow are all vampires, so I'm looking for last names that sound gothic or Victorian. Please DO NOT suggest something such as, "Count Dracula". Also, I want last names that for the most, don't sound like their meanings so don't say "Blood" or anything that simple, you know what I mean?
Here are the characters and their names (Selene, Elektra and Chrisanth are all related so they need to share the same last name)

Selene
Elektra
Chrisanth
Alec
Lilith
Althaia (extra old sounding last name needed)
