I Really Want To Start Making Videos On Youtube But My Mom Won

How to start making good youtube videos?

For one, you can't be a YouTube partner until you're 18.
My camera is amazing, a Panasonic Lumix DMC-SZ7, $120.
Professional lighting DOES cost quite a bit of money, but you could always just use a lamp or film outside!
A tip for making videos is to just do whatever you want to do. Maybe write up some ideas for videos. Think of Jenna Marbles; she just talks about random things, but she's hilarious! If you want to do sketches like Smosh, I suggest getting some friends/family members to help you out.
The reason people like Smosh and Jenna Marbles got so popular so quickly is because they came up with a viral video idea (Smosh, Pokemon Lip Synch, Jenna Marbles, How to trick people...)
So what I'm getting at is to just make a video about what you would like to watch on YouTube. That's all.
Good luck!
P.S., post your channel, I'd love to see what you come up with!

My Mom Won't Let Me Post Videos On YouTube?

Tell her that my your face will not be in any of the videos, the videos will be tutorial videos like this show her this video http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CiAgR8BaUVQ and tell her that I will not cuss or post perverted things at all and see what she says, just don't get mad if your videos get disliked because your voice is not matured XD safe journeys man!
btw I make music so if it all works out feel free to use my music in your videos as long as you give me credit in the description example (music made by QuickSilver link to my soundcloud and youtube done :)

My parents won't let me put videos on youtube?

okay so im super mad right now. i feel like punching someone because i really like to make videos and things because its fun. its like a hobby of mine and i want to share it with others. My parents dont approve of it though, they think that a pervert could be watching it. THERES PERVS EVERYWHERE. what the...? i edited the video to make it look really cool and stuff and now... it goes nowhere and 2 hours of editing is in the recycle bin. how can i convince my parents to let me express myself?? I really want to upload the one I've been working on but I know I will get in trouble.

and it has to be a good argument because my parents aren't known to change their minds that easily.

Should I ask my mom before I make videos on youtube?

I think it would be nice to ask her. The idea of keeping a thing from your parents condemns a trust. If you do not have trust in a relationship it is hard to have a good one. I know teenagers are doing things that they do not want their parents to know about, but that does not mean that this is a good thing.I have always felt like if I have to be deceptive, their may be something not very good about what I am doing. It is also not a good feeling to have to hide something. The short of it is then, ask your mom before you jump into it. Make sure she understands what you intend to do. You might want to prepare for any objections she might have so you can reassure her.Lastly, good luck with your video ventures on YouTube, whenever they may happen.

How can I convince my parents to let me start a YouTube channel?

Parents know best...most of the timeIn this case its time to educate your parents they will like to see that you are learning something and not using it for any reasons they are against. This all depends upon what you are using it for? Compare it to Facebook a platform they may be aware of and have more knowledge in.Im not sure on your age but if you are looking to become successful on YouTube  then my advice is to go onto YouTube itself and search channels for people of your age and look for someone that is doing really well and show your parents that its used in a wide variety of ways that are not so odd.Maybe get your parents involved in some of the videos? They could actually become quite fond of it when they see they are getting views.

How do I tell my parents that I am starting a video channel on YouTube?

Im thinking of starting a lifestyle (fashion, makeup, tips and advice, music) channel on YouTube, but Im not sure my parents will go along with the idea...........I am started 9th grade and I wear makeup and I am pretty good at giving advice. I even have my own camera that I bought with my own money...its a Canon EOS Rebel SL1 18MP DSLR Camera with 18-55mm Lens Kit.

The things is that I know that my mom will say yes, but Im not sure my dad will say yes. My dad is the kinda dad that doesnt like all the stuff like 3-pound MacBook Airs......lets just say that he is a bit behind in the technology (he doesnt know how to work our printer or things on the internet, he types like 6 words a minute..) He is also the really over-protective parent...for example:
It took me and my mom 2 months to convince him to let me wear makeup.
Another example:
I had a piano recital when I was 11 and my mom posted the video of me performing and my dad told her to take it down and he said, "Anyone can see her perform and they might comment bad things and I dont want anyone else to see her perform"

Anyways, I have a few questions:
How do I ask my parents? (Do i just say, "Im starting a video channel!")
If my dad says no, how do I convince him?
If my dad says no, do i secretly start a video channel without telling him? (tips for keeping it a secret)

Thanks so much!!!

How to let my mom let me watch Youtube videos?

My mom won't let me go on Youtube. She used to,but not anymore. She accidently saw my facebook.
She scrolled down and saw:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iguvG6ytSn8

She thinks I watched it though I didn't(until she told him I can't use Youtube). It only showed because I like Basshunter's page(because of his song dotA). What should I do? In real life I don't watch stuff like that, I just watch song lyrucs, nigahiga, and stuff like that.

I’m making a YouTube but I’m afriad my parents might not like my videos. What should I do?

Please don't put anything on YouTube without talking to your parents first. I don't know how old you are, but you need to know how incredibly dangerous that can be. People have been stalked, lured into situations that seem harmless, but aren't and even much worse after posting things. There are very bad people, sick people actually, who scan the internet constantly for opportunities to lure unsuspecting posters into serious harm. Please let your parents help protect you from such danger.

How can I get more views for my mom's cooking channel on YouTube?

I have a ton of tips, but you have to keep it mind that it will take a lot of hard work and dedication. I checked out her channel and watched some of her videos. Here are some tips for her specifically to improve her channel:Under settings, make sure to enable customization of the YouTube channel page. This will allow you to feature playlists on the channel home page, as well as a channel trailer for new visitors and a featured video that plays for returning subscribers. The intro is too long and doesn’t belong in the beginning. Make the intro under 5 seconds (right now it’s 10 seconds). People click off the video when intros take to long. Start off the video saying what it is about in a couple sentences, then show your short intro bumper. My intro bumper is only 3 seconds long and comes after I introduce the video to get people excited. Here is one of my recent videos:English translations. Do it yourself or have someone else do it, but create [CC] captions (or subtitles) for people who are hearing impaired and for people who don’t speak your language. Having 2 or more sets of subtitles will make the videos much more popular. Those two things should help tremendously. Here are some more general YouTube tips that will help any channel:Have a good profile pic and channel artUpload on a consistent schedule.Upload once a week, on the same day, and preferably the same time of day. Or upload 3 times a week. Or upload once per day. Don’t upload twice one week, then upload the next video 2 months later.Have a descriptive title people might search for.Have your description and tags ready before you upload.Fill in your recording date and location when uploading a video.Create a catchy, enticing custom thumbnail that stands out for each video.Make sure you utilize watermarks (branding), cards and end screens in every video you upload to promote your other videos.Ask people to like, comment and subscribe and tell them why they should do each one.Create content that people want to share.Make sure you videos bring value to viewers, wether it be: entertainment, comedy, tutorials, education, news… something that people love and value. Promote your videos on social media and to friends.Embed your videos on a website or blog.Send email blasts to promote your videos.Work hard and improve everyday! Try to make the next video better than your previous video.I use ALL of these tips myself on my sports YouTube channel Fantasy Couch and my personal channel Huseyin Aksu

My parents don't believe that you can earn money by posting videos on YouTube. Why?

When I was young, I wanted to be a basketball player. I played and trained every day with the hopes of onda day turning pro. And I was pretty good, but my parents always made it clear that education comes first. I stopped playing seriously by the end of high school due to injuries and the realization that I'll never make it to the pros. Had I not listened to my parents, today I'd probably be stuck in a job I don't like just to make ends meet. But I instead found something else I'm good at and enjoy doing. I'm sure the same applies to you. It's of course possible to earn money by posting videos on YouTube, and your parents know that well enough. It's just that it's highly unlikely that a person's content goes viral and their career takes off. For every famous YouTuber, there is a long line of those who tried hard but failed, but you don't see those people in the media. Same as with the lottery, you only have interviews with people who won, you'll never see a person who played the same numbers for 30 years and never won anything. A very similar story is with startups, although there you hear about those who crashed badly. The picture painted by the media nowadays is that "accidental success" happens quite a lot. But that's far from the truth, as the internet is accessible to so many people but only a tiny fraction of those make it big and earn a living from that. What your parents are trying to do is to make you focus on the one thing that will give you an edge in life - education. Once you have your education and your profession, you can still do whatever you think you're talented for, but even if you don't make it you'll have a fallback option, and that's the right approach in life in general.
