The other answer is correct, however I think a further explaintion is warranted.Specifically - there is a setting under messages called send/receive. This allows any IMessages to go to these phone numbers and email addresses.Now anyone that sends you a text message will come directly to you, however if sent from an iPhone / iPad or MacBook it will go to the send / receive addresses.You have two good options. Either take his phone and unselect your phone number (assuming no trust issues since he can turn it back on) or create a new Apple ID which will not allow him to receive your Imessages.Hope this helps - we see this everyday!
Why am I getting spam text messages?
I'm getting messages from bed bath and beyond.com. It's not exactly spam, but kinda. I'm getting copies of messages exchanged between several workers there. They exchange codes, promotions, when they're going to be out of the office, etc. The AT & T lady said to put my number on the Spam, Do Not Call list--but it's not spam, they're texting the wrong number! So I texted and told the bed bath beyond guys that. What should I do if they keep texting? This wastes my texts, which I have to pay for!

Text messaging my phone but can't anymore because deleted messages before responding to them!??how do I get to

How do I get Yahoo! Astrology to stop sending text messages to my cell phone?
I got my cell number changed about 2 weeks ago. Ever since that day, I've started receiving daily astrology horoscopes from Yahoo! Astrology. I do not want this service to bug me daily. Worse yet, my cell plan charges me every time I receive a text message. I called the cell company and they say they cannot block incoming text messages. I have not as of yet found a way to contact anyone at Yahoo to tell them to stop this. Has anyone else ever had this problem? I don't want to have to change my cell phone number again in efforst to block this...

You'll have to go to their website and see how to opt out of these text messages. I see a Contact US option at the bottom of their website. Some companies include opt out instructions at the bottom of the text messages.
I keep getting spam text messages from Yahoo! Messenger sent to my phone. How do I get them to stop?
I've gotten 2 spam text messages from Yahoo! Messenger today. I looked up the numbers and they are being sent from cell phones from IN and NJ. The texts say something like "Hey! This is Jen (or Jenny). Please add me on Yahoo! Messenger so we can chat." and then lists 2 different usernames. I don't know anybody from IN or NJ and I do have a friend named Jennifer but that isn't her cell phone number and those aren't her usernames because both usernames are very strange and very random and don't make any sense. How do I get the text messages to stop? Thank you!
