I Used My Credit Card To Pay For Something On Ebay But I Accidentally Used It As Debit.

ACCIDENTALLY BOUGHT SOMETHING ONLINE?

What website or online store is it from? Did you (or your parents) signed on with a previously created user name and password while logging on to that seller's website?

eBay keeps your banking and credit card data on file, and so do most other major online retailers once you create an account with them (such as Amazon.com, Tiger Direct, QVC and Home Shopping Network, Newegg, etc)
Check your bank / credit card statement to see if the purchase amount has been deducted.
Unless that seller ship COD (Collect On Delivery), they will not send the stuff to you until it's paid for.
As far as I know, no US seller will do COD anymore, other countries however will.

What happens if I accidentally enter my credit card as Visa when it's MasterCard while ordering online?

None of the other data will match and you will be rejected.
Probably an error notice to change the info.

What happens if you accidentally enter wrong credit card number online?

i recently got a credit card. say like you buy something off a website and use your credit card to pay. not that this has ever happened, but what happens if you accidentally enter a wrong number for the credit card number or wrong expiration date by accident? will the order just not go through? can you get into trouble legally just for an accident like this? what can happen? just curious

Linking paypal to bank account or debit card?

Hey,
I set up a paypal account and I was going to earn some money on ebay and then just spend the money that was in my paypal account after that without linking it to any account or card. I set up my first ad on ebay and made sure it wasn't going to cost anything so I didn't add any extras, but it still asked for credit card or bank account for charges from putting up my ad. Anyway, I just realized that I can't sell anything unless I link it to something but I don't have a bank account or credit card.

My girlfriend said I can link it to her debit card until I make money and then eventually get enough to put it in an account cause I have like over $400 worth of stuff that im ready to sell. But I don't want my paypal account to get mixed in with her bank account (money im making to go into her account and I especially dont want to accidentally spend any of her money.)
So will all our money get mixed up if I do this? Or how do I find way around this?

Thanks

Can a paypal account be connected to someone elses debit card?

Yes. Especially if they have the same address because there is no such thing as name verification for credit and debit cards. But speaking personally, I’ve made purchases for a few friends and family members who do not have paypal accounts using their card on my account a number of times. However, double check Paypal’s terms to see what they say on it. It is technically possible, but it still may be against their rules. Also, you’d better have their explicit permission and make sure they are aware of any purchases you’re making on it. If they call their bank and request a chargeback, you’re going to get your paypal account shut down in a hurry if that transaction came from you account and you’re not the card holder. They will be able to see who requested the chargeback, and if your name isn’t on it, they’re going to come to you with a bunch of questions.

How come i can not use my paypal accout to list a item on ebay.?

Are you trying to list your item and accept payment through Paypal? If so, have you modified your preferences? See this link below.

You should be able to pay for your selling fees with Paypal. I have attached a couple of help screens with the steps to set up your account.

When you add bank accounts to Paypal, they go through a verification process that takes about 3 business days. Have you done that yet?

Also, what type account do you have..Personal, Premier or Business? There are limits to Personal accounts for receiving money, especially by credit/debit cards. You may need to upgrade to a Premier. I have a Premier account and haven't had any problems listing or selling on eBay.

Hope this helps, if not let me know and I will see if I can help.
