I Want Some Hair Extensions

Clip in hair extensions?

I bought a set of clip in extensions that were pre-cut and already had clips on them. The way they were cut works out great. It was four-1 1/2"(one clip each), two-6"(three clips each), one-7"(three clips), and one-9"(five clips). The directions for using them are-- 1. Make a horizontal part about 2 inches above the nape of your neck and place the first 6" piece as close to the hairline as possible. Start clipping with the center clip first, then pull and secure the others.2. Make another horizontal part about one inch above the previous piece and place the second 6" piece in the same manner as the first. 3. Make another horizontal part about one inch above the previous piece. Using the 7" piece, follow the steps above. 4. Make another horizontal part about one inch above the last piece and attach the 9" piece(this piece should rest across the widest part of your head) 5. The 1 1/2" pieces are used to frame your face in the front. Put them where they look the best. Make sure that they are at least one inch away from your part and one inch away from your hairline so that they won't show. I have found that attaching the 1 1/2" pieces on an angle works best...they do not show that way when the wind blows. Hope this help! They tend to be a little heavy at times but you will get used to it soon enough.

What human hair extensions can be dyed?

Someone will tell you all human hair extensions could be dyed . But I want to tell you that is not true. There are many kinds of quality hair extensions on market . Good quality hair extensions are made with good base material , that will make Hair strong . With this kind of hair , you could dye it yourself. There are some not good quality hair , they are made with fallen hair or old lady’s hair . They process and make it soft and silk , this quality hair could not last long , if you re-color it , Hair will be ruined .Many brands will indicate that their products could be dyed or not . They will have lots of choice to match client’s hair , because they know dying Hair will damage Hair , if you want your extensions last longer time, just keep it the way they are .Factory will process Hair with bleach and dye two steps. And last step , will add conditioner. With conditioner on , it is hard to dye . Please notice that . If you want to dye your hair extensions , tell your factory just bleach hair , without dying hair step , you will do the dying step your own . That is best way .

Can you cut the track of hair extensions?

yep! just go for it~ a few strands will come off the end but the whole thing won't unravel. u can also split the two in half and make the weft thinner. sometimes when i want my bangs longer i'll use a small piece of an extension. u can buy real hair at sally's for under $10 that u can curl, blow dry, & wash just like real hair. and there's so much of it that u can experiment.

I have a clip-on hair extensions, I want to recolor my hair will I have a problem?

It depends on the quality of the hair. Is it real hair or fake?

Unless you have high-quality Remi real-hair extensions, they've probably been pretreated in some way. Because of that, I wouldn't recommend processing them further, but if you have your heart set on dying your extensions, then do a strand test; dye a small patch of hair that you don't wear or can he hidden easily & check the quality of the hair afterward. Your hairstylist can even help you do this.

Personally, I'd recommend just buying a second set of extensions, because you never know when you might want to change your look again. Sally's Beauty Supply offers Euronext extensions for about $70 if you have a Beauty Card (which is only five bucks.)

It's made of real human hair, but because it's so affordable, it's also processed. Even so, the color matching is amazing, & they'll last quite a bit if you take good care of them. Plus they give you enough wefts to cover your entire head. I bought some last year & they still look wonderful.

How do i tell my boyfriend i got hair extensions?

My boyfriend is one of those people who likes natural girls. I recently got my hair cut really short, about chin length and I HATED it with a passion. I went and got clip in extensions for sally's beauty suply on sunday (today is monday) and I havent told him yet. I wont see him for a while, and i was thinking about sending him some pictures so he could see how they looked on me, enstead of me just telling him. if i let him see them and he found out at the same time i think he might like them more. many people say they look really good, and i think he might think that they look bad, so if i send him a picture or two he will know how they look.
should i do this?
what do I do if he doesnt like them?
I LOVE them but I dont want him to hate my hair.... I have also been with him for 1 year and 4 months.
How should i tell him?
keep in mind i cant see him for about 2 weeks.
Thanks in advance...

Question about guys and hair extensions....?

If you want it done right, it will be a little pricey. Your hair should be long enough to braid in order to get it. Then you have to go buy some hair at the beauty store. 100% Bohemian Curl Human Hair is best- you can wash it and it is pretty close to corbin's type. www.outre.com That's about $25 - $35 a pack which should be enough. Textured hair is generally sewed in, not glued. So you will need to find a hair technician to do this which will run you another $60-$100. It will last 3-5 weeks.
But if you want my opinion, it is best to get the corbin-look with your own hair. Grow your hair out as much as you can, braid it overnight with some hair *mousse,* unbraid it and brush it out with a beaded paddle brush in the morning. Trust me, it will be cheaper and look more natural.

Can I highlight my human hair extensions?

I want to buy some human hair extensions and I want my hairstylist put them on my head, but I am getting some highlights done so I want him to do the same highlights on the hair extensions as he will do on my real hair. Is it possible for him to make the highlights and not damaging the human hair extensions? Is there like a specific brand of human hair extensions I should buy?

Why are some hair extensions so expensive?

(pic source: How to Choose the Best Hair Extensions For You - BestHairBuy Blog)There are two main types of hair extension – the synthetic and the human hair.Synthetic hair extensions tend to be less expensive compared to the natural or human hair extensions. As expected, they are of inferior quality. They often do not last long and most do not resemble the real human hair, giving it an unnatural look.Kanekalon and Toyokalon hair extensions are examples of synthetic hair extensions. People who are on a tight budget could resort to these hair extensions but should be careful enough to consider the duration they want these to last.On the other hand, human hair extensions are more expensive but of greater quality. They are often preferred over synthetic ones as they are easier to style on and maintain. They also last relatively longer and so a better investment.Cost and quality of human hair extensions could vary greatly across its different types. The most popular types are the Remy hair extension, non-Remy hair extension, and virgin hair extension.Made from human hair taken from multiple donors, Remy hair extensions are made through color matched hair, with achieved a natural finish. The hair is gathered sophisticatedly so that each and every strand is positioned, facing a single direction. Remy hair extensions can be treated such as dyeing, perming, and styling with ease. It also has a long lifespan.Non-Remy hair extension is the most commonly used and tends to be more affordable than Remy hair. These are usually made from shed or fallen hair. It undergoes chemical treatment to remove the hair cuticle layer. A coating is then applied to the hair giving the hair extensions natural-looking shine and luster. However, this chemical layer is easily lost after few washes.Virgin hair extensions are made from only one human donor. Before a hair passes for a virgin hair extension, it must qualify first this golden rule: the hair should have never been treated at all, be it any form or in any time in the far past. Virgin hair extensions are considered of the highest quality, and therefore very expensive. Unlike the other types, this type can be treated in any manner without having to worry of losing its natural look, given the proper procedures of treatment are followed (taking good consideration at caring for the hair).

Luxy vs. Euronext Hair extensions..?

I have medium thick hair, and I really want some hair extensions due to a bad haircut that I hate, and I really miss my long hair. I want some 16 to 18 inch hair, that is REAL human hair. I want to be able to go and have it sewn in.

Luxy costs $140 for their clip in 20 inch hair with 160g. Euronext costs $90 and I am able to have it sewn in. I would wear my extensions every day, which is why I would just rather have them sewn in, and I have a place where it only costs $20 an hour to apply. My max budget is $200 because I refuse to pay for something which wont last more than a couple weeks.

I want something thick and wonderful feeling, which will blend in well with my hair. I have fine hair, but I have a lot of it! Please help me. I also would like to know if there is something exactly like Luxy but is able to be sewn in.

Thanks!
